Story
Surfs up! Say hello to Sand Dune. He parties hard and works harder. He is named after his toasty coat that reminds one of relaxing beach days. Sand Dune may look like any other cute doggie but he's a hardworking man looking for employment! He has a good work ethic and is ready to fetch all the tennis balls. In addition to being a punctual employee, Sand Dune also knows: sit, shake, down, place, stay, here. Additionally, he is crate trained and house trained. He does well on the leash as well. This confident, outgoing boi knows how to let loose after the work day is done. In his foster home he enjoyed walking, jogging, and chewing. The generally active guy is also a team player and loves making human friends. He also has some doggie friends here at APA! Sand Dune is looking for an active family where he can be the only pup and keep sharpening his skills. Ready to employ your new best friend? Talk to a matchmaker today.

Story
Bree’s the oldie with puppy energy—she’s your daily dose of sunshine wrapped in fur! Bree is a big-hearted, squeaker-obsessed superstar who will keep you smiling all day long. Despite her senior status, Bree doesn’t seem to know it—she's got the energy of a pup! She loves squeaky toys, ropes, and stuffed animals, although her favorite game is turning them into fluff explosions. (But don’t worry—your furniture is safe with her!) Bree is a certified cuddle champion who adores giving and receiving affection, always multiplying the love you show her by 10. Toss her a green bean, a cucumber, or (her favorite snack) CHEESE, and you’ll have a best friend for life. Bonus: Bree’s car ride enthusiasm is unmatched, making her the perfect road trip companion. Bree is well-trained, knows commands like "sit" and "wait/stay," and responds beautifully to her name. She’s also house-trained and doesn’t need constant attention—although she’d happily accept it if you offer! Bree thrives on affection from humans and is especially great with adults. She can entertain herself when needed but will light up when it’s time to interact. Because of her history, Bree prefers to be the only dog in the home. Walks around other dogs require a little patience, but she ready to check in with you like a pro with a simple treat. She’d do best in a quieter, low-traffic household—mid-rise apartments or standing homes would suit her well. With her loyal, affectionate personality and manageable needs, she’s ready to become someone’s one-and-only sunshine. Bree is ready to bring love, laughs, and plenty of cuddles to your life. Come meet her today—you’ll never want to let her go!

Story
Are you looking for a goofy, furry best friend to love and laugh with? ❤️ Here are some reasons why you OTTO adopt this pup: • He's the silliest and most handsome 4 month black mouth cur mix around! • He's great with other dogs - very playful and energetic, always trying to get them to play. • Otto met some kiddos and was very well-behaved! • He's nearly mastered potty-training! H • Does well on leash! Would love for someone to help him hone his skills. • Otto already knows "Sit", "Wait", and has been working on "Place", "Stay", and "Down" • LOVES pretty much every person he's ever met. Highly people-motivated and wants to cuddle everyone. • His foster describes him as "Outgoing, VERY playful, curious, and brave" • Otto's perfect day starts with food, playtime, napping, and repeat until bedtime! • One of his funny quirks is that he'll stop while he's eating and do a circle before continuing to eat (so silly!) • Otto likes to grab a toy and then bring it to your feet wherever you are in the home (he takes playtime seriously) • He would love a home that will shower him with love (and toys), go on adventures outside, and continue his puppy training. Maybe even some kids or dog siblings to play with! • "I've never met a more people-oriented, affectionate dog. He's like the male tabby cat of dogs. Any owner won't have to worry about him scaring neighbors, relatives, or the postman." -Otto's foster • If you've made it this far, then you definitely OTTO ask about this wonderful pup today! 🐾

Story
Meet Daisy! Daisy is a beautiful 3-year-old, 45-pound Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and energy to share. She adores dogs and kids, making her a perfect addition to a lively home! This sun-loving girl enjoys lounging outside, running around, and car rides—even after her recent surgery, she handled the trip like a champ. Daisy’s playful nature shines brightest with her fur brother, though she sometimes forgets to pace herself when he’s ready for a break. She’s still learning that not every dog appreciates her enthusiastic jumping, but her excitement is all part of her charm. Daisy is potty trained, knows how to sit, and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate—even if she’d rather keep playing at first! During the day, she’ll sometimes choose to nap there on her own. She’s learning leash manners, but her zest for life makes outdoor adventures very exciting, so she’s working on not pulling so much. She absolutely loves being petted, though she might get a little jealous if another dog gets attention first. Her response? Big, loving eyes that earn her pets every time. When she met her foster mom’s grandsons, Daisy was all wiggles and kisses, showing how much she adores kids. Daisy loves toys but sometimes thinks anything on the floor is fair game—she’s learning to tell the difference. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited, and affectionate companion who thrives in an active family, Daisy is ready to bring sunshine and love to your home! Hi I'm Ronnie, I am a sweet, playful, happy 8-month old male Black Cur Mix. I love to run and play. I LOVE kids and have so much love to give. I can be a little shy at first, but I am very loyal. I am told I am a great hunting dog, too! I have all my shots and am neutered. I am 90% housebroken and I bonus: I only chew my toys and no biting! Story
Shiloh is 1 year and 6 months old. She is the sweetest and kindest dog I have ever known, and all I care about is that she is adopted by a loving family and has a good home. I have been recently engaged and moved into a home with my fiance who has a 5 year old dog. Though Shiloh loves him and is as kind and playful as a dog could be to him, my fiances' dog refuses to accept her and at times gets very mean toward her. It has become a big issue and unfortunately has led me to needing to re-home Shiloh. She gets along great with every dog and person she has ever met, but my fiances dog just will not stop being mean and territorial to her. Shiloh is very playful and bouncy as she is still quite young, and she is happiest when she is able to run around outside.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Daisy Mae, a heartwarming, sweet soul who`s slowly finding her way through the world with the love and patience of her foster family. Although she is an incredibly kind-hearted dog, she is also deeply fearful—particularly of people, leashes, cats, and certain confined spaces. Her past experiences have made her wary of many things, but despite this, she`s never shown aggression. Instead, she prefers to quietly retreat and observe.Since forming a bond with her foster family, Daisy Mae has become more affectionate, seeking out cuddles and pets, her heartwarming way of expressing her trust. She absolutely loves her many toys, hoarding them with pride, and she enjoys playful games of chase in the backyard, where she feels most at peace basking in the sun. She has no interest in escaping or digging out of the yard—she is perfectly content in her outdoor haven. While she can be timid around new people, her interactions with other dogs have been positive—she’s not reactive and even got along well with a calm Pug who came to visit. Though she doesn`t yet feel fully comfortable indoors due to her fear of cats, she finds her solace on the deck, wrapped in blankets, and curled up on a whelping pad. Despite her fears, she’s shown remarkable resilience, and though her journey is still unfolding, she’s already made great strides toward trust and comfort.Daisy Mae is a work in progress—an endearing, shy companion learning to embrace love and connection at her own pace.
