Grizzly is a special soul. Right off the first meeting, he has a kind and caring attitude and is still spry for a 9 year old dog. He's great and very patient with small children and great with cats. He does ok with other dogs in the home but may need some time to fully accept them. If you have other dogs, I'd recommend a neutral space meeting at first to make sure they'll get along. He loves to run around as much as possible and would very much like his new forever home to have a backyard as his current home situation doesn't allow much exercise or activity in general. When he's done exercising, he loves to snooze around the house and lay in all the spots in your home until he finds the one he likes the most. He loves to sunbathe throughout the day and will sometimes nap for hours if you let him. Breaks our heart to have to rehome him, but he deserves a home that can give him the best.

Scooby joined our family in July 2024 after I found him sitting alone on a sidewalk. From the beginning, he has been gentle, affectionate, and eager to bond with people. He is playful and adventurous and enjoys outdoor time, but he also has a calm, snuggly side and loves being close to his family. Scooby is smart and food-motivated, making him easy to engage and train. He has lived happily with our small dog and is friendly with visiting family members and caregivers. He is loyal and protective in a calm, reassuring way and thrives in a loving, family-oriented environment. Due to recent hand surgery and allergies, I’m no longer able to give Scooby the activity and outdoor time he deserves. This decision comes from love and the desire to see him continue to thrive. At 5 years old and 55 pounds, Sarge is a handsome and athletic Black Mouth Cur with an expressive face that lights up when itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s time for belly rubs, squeaky toys, or a game of fetch! Sarge has never met a stranger â&#194&#128&#194&#147 only new best friends! His temperament is a wonderful blend of playful energy and loyal companionship. He loves being active outdoors, especially when there is a ball involved, but inside the home he is happy to just be with his humans, nearby to clean up any crumbs from your cooking or warm up your feet while you watch a show at night. And if you need your space sometimes, he is very content to take a nap in his crate or bask in the sunshine outdoors while guarding your yard against unwanted critters. He is affectionate, enthusiastic (especially if treats are involved!), and loves being a part of family life. Sarge is up to date on all medical care, including his rabies vaccination, is neutered, and microchipped â&#194&#128&#194&#147 all ready for a smooth transition into his forever home. Sarge would thrive in an active household with a fenced yard, where he can run and explore. He is always up for a walk or game of fetch, and then just as ready for a nap afterwards!
