CRATE TRAINED:  Does not do well in crate HOUSE TRAINED:  Yes GOOD IN CAR:  Yes FUN FACTS: Layla's favorite spot? The couch!! Layla is a very affectionate, loving girl who has been through a great deal - but she's come through shining! She had to have hip surgery upon entering rescue due to being hit by a car, but she's recovered nicely Layla is an adventurist, and she will bolt if given the chance (hence being hit by a car), so she needs someone experienced and dedicated to make sure she doesn't do this - this understanding and commitment is paramount. She will need a 6ft fence to be safe from potential escape, ALWAYS on a leash outside of the fence, and watched at doors. She loves to run and play, flashing her big smile when she's having fun. Layla is possessive of her toys, treats and food with other dogs, so while she's fine with medium to large dogs, this must be understood. She is a bossy female and isn't afraid to put them in their place should they try to take something that's hers. She's a princess who demands her authority. To people she's a dream. She loves to lay beside you and watch tv, go on long walks, and follow you around the house. She does, however, expect her food to be prepared and served ON TIME. That's the rule. Break that rule and you'll be called names. But you can save face by just giving her a kiss or rubbing her belly...her other 2 favorite things. Layla is house trained, doggy door trained, and rides well in the car. She's great at the vet, and is an overall superb gal...not to mention absolutely gorgeous. If you're looking for a buddy for walking, hiking, curling up with for your favorite movie or as your sidekick when you're out and about, Layla is the dog for you.   ##1466211##

Story
www.pet-tender.com/adoptionform.htm   Lucky is about as sweet as they come.  She is shy with new people at first but warms up nicely and gets attached quickly.  She just wants to be with her person.  We think she could live with another dog...just has to be the right dog..she can be a little picky.  She is extremely playful at times but then just wants to cuddle at other times.  She is going to make a great companion for someone who just wants to hang with their pup.  She is a bit of an escape artist if left outside...but escapes to be with her person.   We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here. March 18, 2024, 12:23 am

Susie has found herself homeless at the age of 4. This sweet girl is crate trained and house trained. She's wonderful with kids and other dogs. She's a laid back girl that enjoys her walks with a stick or a ball in her mouth. She LOVES to play with sticks, it's so funny!! No need to spends lot's of $$ on expensive toys. Susie is very easy to have around, shes usually napping in her bed or laying in a patch of sunlight by the window. Her cute personality will make you smile.

I’m looking to rehome my beloved dog due to life changes. As I prepare to go back to school full-time, work full-time, and care for my small kids, I can no longer give him the attention he truly deserves. He’s a loving, playful pup who adores kisses and thrives on playtime. He’s also very loyal and protective, making him the perfect companion for someone who can give him a stable and loving home. If you or someone you know is interested in giving him the care and attention he needs, please reach out to me

Story
Hi, I’m Daphne! At 2 years old, I’m a joyful Black Mouth Cur and Rhodesian Ridgeback mix (at least that’s what the humans think) with a zest for life and a heart full of loyalty. Weighing a little over 60 pounds, I’m the perfect size for both adventures and snuggles! I’m clever as can be and always eager to learn, especially if it means making my favorite humans proud. Whether it’s exploring the great outdoors, mastering new tricks, or just being your trusty companion, I’m ready to tackle it all with enthusiasm! I’m housetrained and fantastic with other dogs, so if you’ve got a furry friend looking for a buddy, I’m your girl. I’m already spayed, up to date on my vaccines, and microchipped, so I’m all set to join my forever home. If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, and loving dog with tons of potential, I’d love to meet you and show you just how great life with me can be! Come meet me! Story
The Queen- Miss Glory! Large Breed Dog Experience preferred! Glory is shy at first with men and other dogs but will warm up once she feels safe! Crate, house and leash trained. Calm and gentle must have a yard to stretch her legs and plenty of play time. Hello Everyone, My Name is Glory, and I am Glorious! Words cannot describe my gentle soul or soft ears. To meet me is to love me! I am a Bloodhound, and I am a big girl. 73 Pounds and still gaining. Need to be about 80 for my perfect weight! My favorite thing is to be outside with my human, playing and running around. I am learning how to be inside and making great progress. I have not had any accidents, but right now I am only ever in the house supervised. My home will have to know how to continue helping me transition into a house pet. I do not like being in a crate, as it gives me MASSIVE anxiety and I want to break out. So, the perfect home for me would be a home where I have a dog door or someone home that can let me in and out all day long. Having a fenced yard is mandatory in Glory's case! We want her to be happy! She is not a jumper, but we do prefer a 6-foot fence due to her height! No cats and no small dogs as I have a hound prey drive ? No, you can't train that out of me as that is who I am! I like dogs at least 40 pounds and not in my face. Not fond of puppies that are in my face either. Still reading? Well, then how about filling out an application to meet me? We will meet and then I will move in with you for a trial week to make sure you are the ones for me! Super Easy Peasy! It is important that you understand that Glory was let down by her previous owners, she is shy and apprehensive due to this, when she meets new people at first. She will warm up to the women faster than the men. This can't be forced. You have to gain her trust. If you are in a rush and do not have the time to do this, please do not waste our and your time! She is a special girl looking for a special home! You won't regret it! https://www.carolina-loving-hound-rescue.com/adoption-.html If you meet the above qualifications and you think you can be my perfect home, please continue reading----Do not send an e-mail unless you have read all the way to the bottom of this Page 1.
