ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED!! Fun, playful lovebug MAYBELLE is so ready for a home of her own. She is an absolute gem of a mixed breed dog, a fan favorite amongst our volunteers. Beautiful Maybelle is around 3 years old and fully grown at 35 pounds She's loves toys, playtime zoomie time, cuddle time and treats. Her breed mix is a mystery, let's call her a Heinz 57 varieties mix. She has the face of a black mouth cur or Carolina dog (two breeds well known in the Southeastern US) and the sleek, slim high-waisted body type of a sight hound breed (think whippet, greyhound etc). Heaven only knows what other breeds make up Maybelle's breed mix. Her short soft coat is the color of a perfect Iced Mocha Latte and her lovely brown eyes are hard to resist. Maybelle would be a great training partner for a runner or walker/hiker. She loves to play fetch. Maybelle thrives on human attention. She longs to be loved and will bond closely to her person. She would be happiest as an "only child" with no other dogs or cats. She's okay with other dogs in social settings but can be possessive with her food and toys. Maybelle is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Maybelle, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Maybelle at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
