Story
Meet Huggie Bear, a sweet and lovable hound mix who is eagerly waiting for a new and loving home. Huggie Bear came to us as a stray, but it didn’t take long for him to discover the joys of receiving love—and just as quickly, he learned how to give it right back. His sweet, affectionate nature makes him a joy to be around, and he’s always ready to show you just how much he cares. Huggie Bear is incredibly happy to see people, and his tail is constantly wagging when he gets attention. He has done well with other dogs and would thrive in a home where he has furry companions to share his days with. He’s still adjusting to the idea of a new home and would do best with a family that’s patient and willing to take the time to help him settle in. With a little time and lots of love, we know he’ll blossom into the perfect companion. While he’s still awaiting his neuter surgery, once that’s complete, he’ll be fully available for adoption and ready to join his forever family. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who will show you endless love in return, Huggie Bear is the one for you. He’s patiently waiting for the right home and can’t wait to start the next chapter of his life with a family who will give him all the care and attention he deserves.

Story
Meet Rusty, our goofy, playful, long tongued boy. Frisbee or agility anyone??? Obedience Trained , House trained and Crate Trained Rusty is a playful, energetic pooch who is 7 years old and about 60 lb.! We think he looks like a black mouth cur,, possinly with some rhodesian ridgeback, but who knows for sure. He's got a long tongue that was just made for giving lots of doggie kisses . He also absolutely loves to lounge in a doggie pool filled with ice! In the winter he loves romping in the snow. During his latest photo shoot the photog said he's very impressive. So obedient and very photogenic.Rusty is a smart boy. He picks his leash up with his mouth and sits at the door waiting to go outside! Just check out the video in his profile.Although he loves kids, he wouldn't be a good fit for young children, as he might accidentally knock them down in his enthusiasm. Rusty loves both kids and adults but is protective of his home. He even snagged a robber in his previous home! What a good boy doing his job. When strangers come, he needs a place where he can go, away from the activity. He is SO sweet, smart, and funny. He deserves a great life and is looking for his forever home. Could you be the one? Story
Almost 3 years old. Mother is black mouth cur, father is catahula cur. Very loyal, very loving. Lots of energy, needs room to run. Enjoys being with me. Has been with us a year and is inside and outside. She sleeps in crate, is crate trained. She is semi house trained. She is curious about our house cat but never aggressive towards him. She plays well with our neighbors dog but never had her around other dogs. She doesn’t like to be outside at night time alone. She is very protective and has bit the fed ex delivery driver. Photos of her relaxing in the recliner and one as a puppy I got from breeder. I trained her with invisible fence and beacons with a computer chip collar-quick to obey with treats, smart and obeys without collar and treats now. She loves to play outside with balls, fetch, ropes, really enjoys squeaky balls and stuffed animals.

Story
Howdy from Rascal! Upon meeting Rascal you’ll notice he makes an absurd amount of noise - grumbling, grunting, snarling, huffing and puffing, but it makes him unique! He has a lot to say, to anyone who will listen!Rascal’s story is unusual. He was surrendered to us after a fight broke out between the dogs in the home and Rascal was thought to be the instigator. His owner was panicking and wasn’t sure what to do because there was a child in the home and they wanted to be proactive. The humane society had a surrender waitlist, which was not an option, so they decided to surrender Rascal to the pound, knowing he would have to be labeled as “aggressive”, and euthanized, per protocol. However, Rascal has been tested time and again with other dogs and actually seems to love other dogs. Rascal is playful and goofy and loves to be right by your side. He is obsessed with one of our volunteers and has shown that he forms very strong bonds with be people he loves. Rascal isn’t a dog for everybody, but he will make an outstanding companion for the right person. Interested in fostering or adopting Rascal? Let us know!
