$0 ADOPTION FEE - ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED!! Maybelle is a fan favorite amongst our volunteers and we are eager to find an adopter who recognizes that she's an absolute gem. This shorthaired mixed breed beauty is the color of a perfectly blended vanilla latte. She is a lively young girl probably 2-3 years old. Maybelle is fully grown at 38 pounds, her long legs make her look like a bigger dog. She's a playful pup, the perfect mix of intelligence, affection and athleticism. She loves to zoom around the yard playing with her toys and will happily entertain herself when her people are busy. She does enjoy "liberating" all toy squeakers. Maybelle bonds closely to her favorite people and loves to make new friends. She's so happy to go for rides in the car, especially with a pit stop for a pup cup. Did we mention she's whip smart? She knows Sit, Down and Shake and loves to learn new tricks. Maybelle would be fine as an only dog, soaking up all of the love and attention she can. If you'd like to meet Maybelle, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Maybelle at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Elena is a dream girl!! She is likely a black mouth cur mix with sugar and spice and everything NICE :) She is extremely loyal and loves getting cuddles from her people. She likes to nose butt your arm for attention, and absolutely loves squeaky toys. She also will just stare at you with her gorgeous, soft eyes, and will you to scratch or kiss her :) She is house trained, crate trained, and good with other animals/children. Her foster has 6 dogs and 1 cat that she gets along with really well; however, it is worth mentioning that she can get territorial in a new environment with other dogs, so it would be best for her to go to an experienced dog home, or as an only dog. Honestly, she can be with other dogs as long as you are the boss and she knows it :) Elena knows how to sit, wait to eat her food until she is told to &"go ahead "She loves kids, and does well with even the littlest ones hugging on her. One of her favorite hobbies is to watch the squirrels in the backyard. She will sit and watch them for hours, if allowed to! Elena is such a good dog, and is ready for her furever home.
