It appears that no one took the time to train her in her former life in Mississippi, so they will never know the amazing things she could be able to do with instilled focus and skills. First line of training is manners around learning what is for her and what is for people, but that is typical for curious young adults. Then, she would love to do everything from agility to dock-diving to a job using her keen sniffing skills. She loves hunting rabbits, though it's unclear what she would do with one if she caught it. Finley will need a 6ft privacy fence or a strong tie-out to keep her contained, as she is able to scale our 5ft chain link with little effort. All that doesn't stop her from being a big softie, giving standing hugs and snuggling up to her people. Finley kennels beautifully and is quiet and patient until she is let out. She's pretty quiet overall except when she gets excited about the cat. She has not shown aggression, but wants to play harder than most cats would like. She would do ok as an only dog, but would love another active dog to run and wrestle with. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption.
