Meet Cherry...she is looking for a new home. She is a spayed terrier mix who is friendly and playful. She was adopted and returned because she is not house broken and has separation anxiety. She can escape a crate but will sleep in the crate all night if her family is home. She seems ok around other dogs here. We always ask for meet and greets if you have other dogs. Story
Hiya! My name is Pickles and I am hoping to be your bread and butter! I am a handsome, adventurous, funny dog who loves to play, learn new tricks, and spend time with the people I love. I can sometimes be too much when I get excited, so I will need a home who can handle my high drive and continue my training to lock in my manners. I will need a home without young children under 5 and without other dogs to keep me comfortable. With a fun-loving guy like me, having enrichment activities and maybe even agility training would be a great way to keep my mind as active as the rest of me! Life without a fun dog like me can be sour, so meet me today and let me turn things sweet!

Hey everyone, meet JoJo! Do you love snacks? Then look no further, because this girl right here, was meant for you. Breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner, midnight snacks are always welcome. This sweet girl has been in a loving home but due to a loss in the family and change in living circumstances, Miss JoJo finds herself looking for another one. She has not been around cats of small children, but has a naturally sweet disposition and gentle temperament. As a predominantly inside dog, JoJo is house trained but is used to spending time outside in a fenced yard. She has a playful personality and has played well with the other small dog that has lived with her. Please consider giving Miss JoJo a forever home to live out the best years of her life. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Story
🍭 Meet Popsicle — your future best friend with energy for days and love to spare 💛 Popsicle is an almost 4-month-old female Black Mouth Cur/Australian Shepherd mix with a big personality packed into a little body. She’s incredibly energetic and would thrive in an active home that can keep up with her zest for life—whether that’s a large yard, lots of outdoor adventures, or even a farm setting. She’d absolutely love a playful canine companion to help burn off some of that puppy energy! What really makes Popsicle special is her heart. She is super affectionate, trusting, and an absolute cuddle bug—she bonds quickly with her people and truly thrives on love and companionship. She also has the cutest little head tilt whenever you talk to her or make a sound—it’s impossible not to smile when she does it! Popsicle gets along well with cats and has great manners around people food. She doesn’t beg or try to steal—she may get a little curious at first, but with a simple “uh uh,” she’ll settle down and give you space. She’s doing great with potty training and is barely having accidents anymore—typically only one every couple of days. She may still “nervous pee” when meeting new people, but once she’s comfortable, she’s totally fine. With continued consistency, she’s well on her way to being fully house-trained. Popsicle can be a sensitive girl in new or unfamiliar situations—she’s shown some anxiety when left alone and when confined, so she’ll do best with someone who can continue building her confidence and provide reassurance as she grows. Crate life just isn’t her thing, but she does wonderfully sleeping on a bed in a closed room. She settles in nicely and sleeps through the night without accidents, so she’ll need a home that’s okay with a pup on the bed or couch. Car rides are still a little scary for her right now, and she may shake at first—but with patience, consistency, and lots of positive experiences, she has all the potential to learn that car rides mean fun adventures. With the right person, she’s absolutely the kind of pup who will grow to love going wherever you go. Like any puppy, Popsicle can be a bit of a shredder if left unattended, so keeping tempting items out of reach is important. She has recently picked up some cat-chasing habits from her foster brother, but she can be easily redirected and continues to do well overall with cats. She has a LOT of puppy energy and will absolutely thrive with an active person or family who loves adventure and wants a companion to bring along. Whether it’s hikes, outdoor play, or just a big yard to run in, Popsicle is happiest when she’s moving and engaging with her people. Another high-energy dog could be a great match for her, though she can play a little rough simply because she’s so enthusiastic. She’s already learning her manners—she knows “sit” and is currently working on “wait,” showing just how smart and eager to learn she is. Popsicle is looking for a home that will give her structure, patience, and lots of love. She truly needs someone who wants a loyal, affectionate, adventure-ready companion by their side. As a bonus, her adopter will receive the rest of her current puppy food plus a brand new 34 lb bag of Purina Pro Plan Puppy (chicken & rice) to help get her settled into her new home. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and devoted pup to grow with your family—and to take along on all of life’s adventures—Popsicle might just be your perfect match 🐾
