MY ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED OCTOBER 14 - 20 AS PART OF THE MUTT-STER MASH ADOPTION SMASH EVENT !!! Meet Mama Dice! She is happy, bouncy, and super wiggly. Mama Dice loves to play and is full of energy so she would make a great companion for a hiker, runner, or just an admirer of the great outdoors. Lots of things make Mama Dice excited, so adopters should continue to train with her so she can learn how to settle and have quiet time. She also gets pretty snuggly once she feels comfortable. Kids in the home should be sturdy, and unphased by a bouncy pup and their goofy antics. Mama Dice seems to like other dogs but can be a little awkward at first meet - so we think she may enjoy dog friends after having time to settle into their new home or would appreciate slow introductions to any canine siblings. If you think Mama Dice could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily - no appointment or application needed. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

My name is Kronos and I am a 2 1/2 year-old black nose/mountain Curr male. I’m a very friendly and happy-go-lucky guy when I’m comfortable in my surroundings. I have a great time playing with other dogs in the doggie park. I am a lovable and affectionate dog to my people and protective of them as well. I love their love and affection, I love going out on walks and being involved in outside activities. I’m a little overweight, so I need to get a lot more outside activity into my schedule. My dad just doesn’t have the time anymore to give me the activity and time that I need. I love to go on car rides because I am timid, meeting new people I am best with a dog experienced individual. I am available through Kitty Connection in Medford.

A passerby picked her up and took her to a very kind older lady. The pup was too much for her and came to me. She has adapted well to joining another litter of 4 she isn’t related to. She fits right in.  Ideal home/family lifestyle: Winnie is used to my schedule of being in and out all day for work. She does well in her crate while I am gone and plays well with the other puppies and dogs in the yard when I am home. She will do great in a home with structure and routine. MEET MIRA!Are you looking for a fun loving play partner, napping partner, hiking partner or running partner? Well, if so, Mira has it all! She`s a furball full of happiness and smiles. She is interested in being a part of the action but can also settle well and enjoy life from the sidelines. Mira came to us as a stray in July and was then adopted and in a home for a few weeks but the home just wasn`t the right match so they brought her back to us. Since she returned to the shelter two months ago she`s been doing well but would truly enjoy finding a forever home! Mira has an affinity for male dogs and has a few friends here and would be more than happy to have some doggy playmates or live with another dog provided their dog meets go ok. She enjoys sniffing walks and doing basic training. She may need a refresher for potty training and can get excitable and jumpy when in new situations so we`ll be sure to help you manage those situations. If Mira sounds like a good fit for your home please come by our Dedham location to meet her! Mira is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team.For more information on Mira or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170.
