Story
Wall-E was brought into a North Carolina animal control as a stray who was not claimed. This poor little guy was not doing well in the shelter environment and was shutting down. Since the shelter was at capacity, he was scheduled for euthanasia if a rescue partner could not be found. So we stepped in and Wall-E is now in foster care. Wall-E has been coming out of his shell in foster care and we are starting to see his personality peeping out now and then! He is likely less than a year old, and is looking to his foster brother and sister for cues in how to deal with the world around him. As we learn more about Wall-E, we will update his profile. For now, he is a scared baby who is trying to figure out what is happening to him and who he can trust. If you would like to meet Wall-E, please fill out our adoption application!

Tiger came from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. The shelter is a scary place for a puppy, but fortunately she has been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers. What Tiger really wants is to find her loving forever people. Could that be you? Tiger is your typical sweet and friendly puppy. Playtime is her favorite time, and she loves making human and canine friends alike. At Tiger's young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization. Tiger will make a great addition to an active home. If you are looking for companionship and unconditional love then look no further than this sweet girl, submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact nancybethc@comcast.net for more information about this pet.All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Hounds! Such wonderful, loving, goofy dogs. And here is Hank, sweet right down to his red feet. How could he ever have made it into a rescue and not be beloved by his family? Well, Hank was born into a hunting family , but he refused to hunt. He didn't want to hurt any other animal! So, sweetness or not, he had to go. Here is what his foster has to say about him; 'Hank, low key calm guy. Not bothered by other dogs at all. Doesn’t seem to have much of a prey drive.' He just wants to be a good ole boy and be loved. Because he is a hound, we are asking that his adopter have a physical fence to keep his nose from following any special scents. Hank alos needs another friendly dog to help him get comfortable in his new home. We have made sure he has all his shots , so he is ready to be your own special boy. He promises to make you laugh when he runs about in your backyard or on a walk with those big ears flapping in the breeze. Ready for fun? Hank is your guy!   If you are interested in Hank, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:13 pm

He is extremely sweet-tempered but needs more exercise and training than we can currently give him. He has a lot of hound in him and seems like he wants to work and run. Banjo is super friendly with other dogs and loves to play. He would love another dog sibling and a we believe he would do best with a big fenced yard or large outdoor securely enclosed property. He is known to be somewhat of an escape artist, a true hound. When he isn’t running around outside he does like to chill and lay around. Not sure how he would do with cats or livestock. If you are interested in adopting Banjo, please contact:Amanda Paige  email: amandacruzado13@gmail.com Phone: 7033045080Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:13 pm
