The shelter is no place for a young pup and now that Chuck has been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers he is ready to find his forever family. Could that be with you? K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
