Story
This boy was a rescue from Georgia. He is very playful boy that is full of energy!! He is a go go go sort of boy that will need an active family to keep up with him. He is with a group of pups his size and age so he does very well. He is friendly, knows his name and we think was house trained at some point. He does okay on a leash and knows how to sit for treats. He is just a friendly, happy and playful pup looking for a new forever home. Milo is now in Tennessee and can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Meet Rookie – The Sweetest, Derpiest Couch Potato! Rookie is the ultimate blend of chill and charm! This lovable pup was sadly surrendered to a kill shelter when his owner could no longer afford to keep him, but he’s now ready to find a forever home where he’ll be cherished. Rookie is a low-mid energy, happy-go-lucky boy who loves nothing more than lounging on the couch and snuggling up with his favorite humans. But don’t let his couch potato ways fool you—he still enjoys playing fetch in the yard and carrying around his beloved stuffies. He’s got a great personality and a hilarious derpy side that will keep you entertained! This sweet boy is also potty trained, knows "sit" and understands "no sir", making him an easygoing companion. Plus, he doesn’t need to be kenneled when left home alone—he’s a well-mannered pup who just wants to be part of the family. And with his treat motivation, he’s always happy to learn new things! If you’re looking for a cuddly, happy, easygoing best friend who will melt your heart with his sweet and silly ways, Rookie is your guy! Could you be the one to give him the loving forever home he deserves? ****ROOKIE IS CURRENTLY IN GA, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. Story
Male, 58 pounds, 2 years old. Personality: Affectionate, calm, patient, quiet, timid/fearful, and gentle. Meet calm fella Dexter! He is incredibly gentle and patient - even if it's the smaller poking hands of his seven-year-old human foster brother or her neighbor. This sweet boy loves his crate -- he sleeps in it at night and loves to hang out there during the day. Dexter is still getting used to city life, and his interest in everything grows each walk every day! He's getting more used to the bustling noises of the city, but remains calm and quiet. Overall, he has a few minutes of zoomies per day and spends the rest of the time snoozing or cuddling. Dexter has mastered housetraining, going straight to do his business outside without any fuss. Dexter may be shy, but that won't stop him from being the most affectionate addition to your family! ____________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

His playful spirit shines through in everything he does, from his goofy antics with his favorite stuffed animals to his enthusiasm for a good game of fetch. Charlie’s sharp mind and eagerness to please make him incredibly trainable. He's already mastered "sit" and "touch” and is working on both house training and crate training. Charlie's outgoing personality makes him a hit with other dogs. His rambunctious spirit is balanced by his sweet nature - he even charmed a 12-year-old child he met on a walk, who instantly wanted to adopt him! Tiger came from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. The shelter is a scary place for a puppy, but fortunately she has been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers. What Tiger really wants is to find her loving forever people. Could that be you? Tiger is your typical sweet and friendly puppy. Playtime is her favorite time, and she loves making human and canine friends alike. At Tiger's young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization. Tiger will make a great addition to an active home. If you are looking for companionship and unconditional love then look no further than this sweet girl, submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  .
