Story
Sadie is a sweet loving girl. Very very high energy. Would benefit from a large yard or daily walks. She’s great with kids but does jump on people. She’s great with other dogs. Not sure about cats. When we first got her she had stomach issues which has resolved. We feed her only dog food and some plain treats. She is house trained but does still have some accidents. Looking to rehome her as we don’t have the space for her to get all her energy out daily.

Story
Meet Tommie: Tommie is about a 4 year old (as of November 2024) Black Mouth Cur mix (best guess) that weighs about 45 pounds. Tommie was found on the side of the highway picking at a chicken bone. The rescuer (now her foster) pulled over, shook a bag of beggin strips and right in the car she went!  Tommie is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Tommie is a very sweet and loyal dog. She doesn’t bark and does so well with other dogs and kids! Tommie is not housebroken but she does well in her crate so we don’t think it would take long for her to figure out the process. We would love for Tommie to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Tommie is up to date on her shots and spayed. If you are interested in adding this sweet girl into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
This is our amazing boy Koda. He is good with dogs, cats, kids, and adults. He would be great in a home with a dog sibling that he could play with often. He is super affectionate and loves to cuddle 24/7. He is crate trained. He is a bit mischievous if left alone too long he will steal things and rip them up. He would benefit from slight training, he knows sit, paw and to get in his bed. He doesn’t bark much. He is the kind of dog who really needs a lot of attention and someone who has the time to walk him, love him and give him time. We have had a difficult time recently giving him what he deserves. I’ve recently hired a dog walker to help but it is getting a bit expensive. We now have a baby on the way and it will make it even harder to give him what he deserves. Our space is small so we’ve realized that an 8 year old and an infant plus Koda is going to be extremely overwhelming. We are not in a rush and will be checking for the perfect fit for him. He is a great dog.

Tiger came from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. The shelter is a scary place for a puppy, but fortunately she has been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers. What Tiger really wants is to find her loving forever people. Could that be you? Tiger is your typical sweet and friendly puppy. Playtime is her favorite time, and she loves making human and canine friends alike. At Tiger's young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization. Tiger will make a great addition to an active home. If you are looking for companionship and unconditional love then look no further than this sweet girl, submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  .
