Story
My husband and I picked this sweet goofball up off the street. We tried to make it so she could live with us as her forever home, but she’s just too young for us. She’s about 2 years old and needs to be exercised daily. Since we live in an apartment this is difficult. We want her to go to someone who’ll take her on all the walks! I just know she’d be an amazing hiking buddy.

This is Sissy, a beautiful and very intelligent young shepherd mix. This amazing pup is approx. 8 months old, female, 30-40lbs, spayed, and ready for adoption! She's a "mini" shepherd mix, standing knee high next to an adult, and full of energy and talent. She is currently in training with dog trainer @Isaac Wright at the FAUNA rescue in Natchitoches. From Isaac, "I trained with this pup for three days, and by the third, she had already intuitively learned the basics: to sit, lay, follow on the leash, even doing an 'advanced level' heel position with me on our training walk. She's obviously really intelligent and kept going even when I started working with her on advanced obedience." This dog could be perfect for a family as a well-behaved pet (and could learn a few fun tricks) or even as a competing dog, bird dog, or working animal, your choice! Sissy is waiting for her forever home at the FAUNA Rescue in Natchitoches learning the basics: to sit, stay, lay, come when you call, and walk on a leash, as well as crate training and food patience. And she's learning fast!

🐾 Buck was found confused and stuck inside of an electrical substation. How he got in there? We have no idea. However, no one ever came for him, so he's now available for adoption. Buck is a black mouth cur mix full of playful energy and a drive to explore. He is selective with other dogs, and may not do well with young children. Otherwise, Buck is friendly, and playful. He needs someone who is looking for a loyal, energetic, goofy companion to keep them company! The adoption fee is $130 and includes: parvo/distemper vaccination, rabies vaccination, microchip, heartworm test, deworming and spay/neuter surgery.
