She loves getting brushed, takes treats gently, and knows how to “sit” like a proper lady. Don’t let her shyness fool you, underneath her baby doll eyes is a very affectionate dog who loves to give kisses! Delilah could really use a loving home where she can grow her confidence and feel safe. She loves to crawl right next to you and would make a great cuddle buddy. She has also met other dogs very politely on leash at the shelter and might do well with other dogs at home or in the outside world! Meet beautiful Miss Mallory! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 12/31, and no one has come to reclaim her. Mallory is now keeping her paws crossed for a new, forever home where she will be loved and kept safe so that she never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Mallory as friendly and curious. She is attentive to the people around her and is eager to please. Mallory is a bit strong on leash, but that may be due to only getting outside once a day in the shelter. Once in a home where she gets outside to exercise consistently, she may be better on leash. We imagine she'd be an amazing hiking/running buddy! If Mallory sounds like the new BFF you've been searching for, please come meet her today! Mallory is approximately 4 years old, and she weighs 44 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Mallory is waiting patiently in run 829; her ID # is 7242. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Gunner is a 45 pound goofy bundle of enthusiasm. He loves belly rubs, riding in the car and walking in the park. At home he is a dog toy tester playing inside and outside with balls, stuff animals, kongs, and bones. He plays well with the other 2 dogs in his foster home and sits for treats. He is incredibly strong and while decent on a leash, needs a little more work. Gunners tested positive for heartworm but is currently receiving treatment. After 6 months at the Coweta County Animal shelter he was placed on the July euthanasia list, so he will need an understanding owner who can continue to work to make him the best dog. River was found living behind a gas station on a very busy intersection. She was skittish and would not let anyone near her. I fed her for about 6 months and was finally able to catch her. I have had her since March of 2024 and have found her to be highly intelligent, gentle, good with all animals and people. I have two small stray that I have had for over 6 years and she is very good with them as well as with Cash an 80 pound Boxer/Pit Bull that I found starving on the street on my way to feed River. They have both been here since March 2024 and have bonded wonderfully. River has been to the Groomers twice for a bath and nail trim and the staff were amazed at how good she was. She is a loving and precious soul but I can't keep 4 dogs. If adopted and for any reason it didn't work out I would take her back immediately as she deserves love and stability.
