Story
Rosie is a very friendly dog who gets along with every dog and person she has met. She tends to be a little nervous at first but calms down quickly. She was found as a stray and we have tried to incorporate her into our family but our schedule is too busy to keep up with a large dog. She is housebroken, crate trained and knows sit, catch, focus and go to bed. She does not walk well on a leash but does better when using a harness. She has been spayed and is also up to date on all of her vaccinations. She’s great with kids. She’s about 65lbs now and the vet expects her to be 60-80 lbs when she starts putting on adult dog weight. She’s very sweet and loves to snuggle and play. She would do well in a house with another larger dog. She loves walks but will dig out of a fenced yard if given the opportunity.

Story
Meet Rita! Sweet Rita spent over 4 months sitting in an overcrowded metro area shelter just waiting to be saved after her puppies were aborted. We can only imagine how sad, confused, and scared she was! That's all behind her now though! Rita is such a sweet happy girl now that she's out of the shelter and settled into her foster home! She spends her days running and playing with all of her dog friends and her nights snuggled up with a soft blanket - no more scary shelters for her! The one final piece of Rita's Happily Ever After still missing is her very own forever family! Could that be you? Story
Roman is a young Pitbull/Mix in immediate need of a foster or adopter to get him out of boarding! He is estimated to be around 1-2yr old, and weighs 55lbs. Roman has a sweet and friendly personality - he is good with people and dogs, and would likely be kid friendly too! He is smart and already knows a few basic commands (sit and shake). He is very trainable, and is also good on leash with a proper collar. Roman enjoys being around people, and would be a great companion for a person or family who wants to take their dog on fun outings! Roman has a medium energy level, and is playful and loving. BarkVille Dog Rescue would love for Roman to land a foster or forever home where he will receive the love and attention he deserves. Roman is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting or fostering this sweet boy, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.January 3, 2025, 6:28 pm

Story
I adopted Sage in 2022 from a person in a store parking lot with a cage full of puppies. Sage just turned 3. Sage is very playful and loving. She is the sweetest and loves to be shown and give affection. Sage needs a lot of exercise and stimulation. My schedule doesn’t allow me to cater to her in that manner. Sage is also reactive to other dogs. I don’t know where the behavior came from because I made it a point to socialize her with other dogs when she was a puppy and a growing adult. She will play with other dogs but her play is somewhat aggressive so I stopped letting her have play dates. I live in an apartment with lots of dogs and it has become very hard to take her out in this environment. Sage would thrive somewhere wher she has room to play, with owners who have experience with owning a dog. She currently lives with my cat as well. This decision is extremely hard for I just want her to go to a loving, safe home.

Story
Meet beautiful Miss Mallory! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 12/31, and no one has come to reclaim her. Mallory is now keeping her paws crossed for a new, forever home where she will be loved and kept safe so that she never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Mallory as friendly and curious. She is attentive to the people around her and is eager to please. Mallory is a bit strong on leash, but that may be due to only getting outside once a day in the shelter. Once in a home where she gets outside to exercise consistently, she may be better on leash. We imagine she'd be an amazing hiking/running buddy! If Mallory sounds like the new BFF you've been searching for, please come meet her today! Mallory is approximately 4 years old, and she weighs 44 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Mallory is waiting patiently in run 829; her ID # is 7242. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
