We adopted honey from animal shelter 3 almost 4 years ago. When we first met honey she was very playful and friendly. We found out from the staff that honey had been abused and had been used for breeding. Honey seems a little confused at times. Honey does not like cats and has been in a couple of scrapes with neighborhood cats. I don't know how she is with children. She likes to tear up shoes and boxes and bags. Honey understands basic commands she will go into her crate when told she does understand if you ask her does she need to go to the bathroom. She will go outside and go to the bathroom she can be walked on a leash although if she sees a dog or cat she will get a little excited and move need to be redirected. She cannot be let out without a leash.

LONGEST RESIDENT! Hi! I'm Mustard. I don't know how much you know about Florida curs - but 2/3 of every litter of true Florida Cur Dogs are born with a bobbed tail, just like mine! People seem to love my nubbin wags! Florida Curs are a very special, active, working line dog - I come with a lot of energy, but am also an amazingly fun and silly class clown. If you're looking for an active companion to hike, adventure and train with - I'm your guy! Mustard is a 2-year-old, 58 lb, Black Mouth Cur mix looking for his forever family. He is UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, and is not destructive when left loose in the house. Mustard is very energetic and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. He is not good with cats and needs work on his social skills with other dogs but has a lot of potential to do great with them. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body but is A LOT of dog and needs firm boundaries or he plays too rough, for this reason we are recommedning him to an adult only home with handlers who are physically strong and set good boundaries. Coda is a brown and black male Black Mouth Cur mix. He is approximately 4 years old. Coda gets along well with adults and children. He is a work in progress with other dogs and we are not sure how he would do with a new furry friend. His favorite things to do is play tug or fetch! Coda has been described as a lap dog, calm but energetic, full of kisses, a jumper, and an all around gentle guy. He is fully potty trained to use a doggie door, but may need some training if transitioning to a new home without one. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
