Story
Taco is such a sweet dog. He enjoys sunbathing and occasional play with our older dog. Taco is a chill dog who would love more attention than we can give. As our family has grown, he has looked more depressed and often rather lay down than interact. Ideally, we would love for him to stay with our older dog in a home with no kids and no other dogs.

Story
Obi is a 3 year old black mouth cur/ ridgeback mix. He is very chill and loves cuddles, but also loves to play and run around. He does really well in our apartment, but would definitely love a yard to run around in. He is very protective of his family, especially our son. He is very loving and sweet at the same time. The reason I have to rehome him is because I’m in the Navy and will be leaving for deployment soon. I’m also going through a divorce and my spouse doesn’t wish to help take care of him. If I can’t keep him, I want to find him an amazing and loving home.

Story
Benji is a 5-year-old medium-sized Black Mouth Cur. He came to us after ending up at a local shelter as a stray, but the shelter was just too stressful for him after a few months. He is a very sweet boy and loves human attention. He is definitely a lap dog and a great snuggler. He is probably dog selective and may do okay with another dog who respects his personal space, but he'd be just as happy as a single dog. He's a great boy who looks to his humans for guidance and direction. If you are interested in Benji, please fill out an application on-line at www.puppyhillfarm.com.Visit us at the Gainesville Petsmart on Archer Rd Saturdays 11 am to 5 pm and Sundays Noon to 5 pm. Story
Chip is a 12-month-old Cur mix and the last of his litter who came to us back in January! He is a very sweet boy and playful, but he is afraid of most men. He loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is also okay with cats. He is mostly house-trained, but would need to get used to a new schedule and routine. He is timid in new situations and with new people as he is lacking in confidence. He does live with a 9yo child in his foster home, but he does bark at kids in public. He's a little bit of a mess outside of the home, but he's working on it and is such a good boy in his foster home :)Visit us at the Gainesville Petsmart on Archer Rd Saturdays 11 am to 5 pm and Sundays Noon to 5 pm. Story
The BLT Boys are living it up and ready for adoption! Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato are three totally different dogs than the ones we met weeks ago. All varying levels of scared and shut down, these boys are now in full happy puppy mode and all it took was a little love, reassurance, and some help from each other. All three boys have completed their vetting and all that’s left is to find their forever families. The boys are estimated 10 months old and all around 40lbs. They are all dog and cat friendly and very playful. The boys were seized in a neglect case and did not get the proper guidance a puppy should, so they are all still learning the normal ins and outs of puppy training - potty training, crate training, mouthing, etc. but are picking up on everything quickly. They all have the softest coats and have the squishiest to die for rolls. Like. They must condition they all feel so soft. Now! A little about each boy. Bacon is the most playful and confident. He loves to romp about and tackle his friends into full wrestle mode. He is a total goofy goober and makes instant friends with any human or animal he meets. Letty is always down for a good ZOOM session, and when he isn’t running the dog park he is catching up on much needed nap time in the absolute coziest and most ridiculous positions. The couch is his new favorite discovery. Tommy is the squishiest, cuddliest of the three brothers and he loves to sleep right on his back, head resting on you. Tommy attaches quickly to his people and it’s obvious how much he just LOVES to love. He is nervous around men, but getting better each day with the help of lots of treats! While he can be shy he is much more confident with another dog friend around, and he is still just as silly and goofy as his brothers. A BLT is one of my personal fave sandwiches, and we promise these boys will be yours too. Message us or reach out at 904-392-3416 to make one of them your very own. PLEASE SHARE! and Adopt happiness friends! March 9, 2025, 7:07 am

Meet Ragnar: The World’s Most Chill Escape Artist! Some dogs have a special talent—fetch, rolling over, maybe even agility courses. Ragnar? His talent is escaping. But don’t let that scare you! Ragnar isn’t running away from something—he’s running to you. This sweet, low-energy guy isn’t interested in solo adventures, he just hates being alone. Despite his relaxed personality, Ragnar has somehow mastered the art of scaling 6-foot walls, wooden privacy fences, chain link fences, jumping through open windows, opening latches, and outsmarting even the most secure kennels… all in pursuit of human companionship. His dream home? Somewhere with people who are around a majority of the time who love his calm, affectionate nature. A secure yard would be great (though let’s be honest, he will definitely houdini his way out of it), but he just wants to be where the people are.So, if you’ve been looking for a gentle, loving dog who also happens to have the skills of a Navy SEAL when it comes to obstacles, Ragnar is your guy! Just don’t be surprised if you turn around and he’s suddenly right next to you… even if he wasn’t there a second ago.Come meet Ragnar today—before he meets you first! This dog has special needs - they are heartworm positive. Dogs with heartworm disease can live happy, high quality lives as long as they are given appropriate care. We think that our heartworm dogs have just as much to offer their new adopters as any other dog and they deserve a chance at life! Heartworm disease is relatively common in the United States, so we are in need of caring adopters like YOU that are willing to open their home to a dog with heartworm disease. You are truly saving a life by adopting a heartworm positive dog!Ask staff about the Stormie Rain Heartworm Fund and what assistance may be available for heartworm treatment expenses.ADOPTION PROCESS: The adoption process is simple and straight forward.Pre-Screening Adoption Application here: https://tinyurl.com/adoptfromHSCCOur receptionists can usually approve/dis-approve your application same day. Story
Meet Oswald, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his frame. This lovable fellow is believed to be a fun blend of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Great Dane, though it is his Ridgeback side that shines through most prominently. His coat boasts a striking red sable coloring, a rich blend of reddish- brown with distinctive black-tipped fur and a stunning face mask. Although he is a larger dog, Oswald exudes a certain grace that is a joy to watch. His eyes, large and inquisitive, reflect the kindness and intelligence that radiates from within. Oswald's affectionate nature is undeniable; he's quick to offer love and companionship to anyone and everyone he meets. While Oswald's size and exuberance may require a bit of understanding, especially with smaller children, his amiable nature makes him a wonderful companion for families with prior experience handling larger breeds. This delightful pup enjoys the companionship of other dogs, once they have been properly introduced. He has had some struggles with dog reactivity, but is doing great with training, and will only continue to improve with a consistent, patient, and strong owner. He has not spent much time inside around cats, but is comfortable seeing and walking near them while on outside. When it comes to care, Oswald is fine with a quiet day inside, but also loves to get out, whether it’s the beach or a local walking trail. On walks, he's a model of composure, walking wonderfully on leash and very responsive to corrections. In essence, Oswald is an absolute sweetheart just looking for his forever people. Story
Samantha | 1.5 year old | 70 lbs | Mixed Breed Hey there, my name is Samantha! I was brought to K9s For Warriors in October of 2024, and I passed my initial testing with flying colors! I’m a lovable bundle of joy with a playful spirit and a heart full of affection. I love rolling around with my toys and eagerly bringing them to my favorite humans for a fun game of tug. I’m a silly, smart, and sweet pup who adores spending time with my people, showering them with love and loyalty. I’m sure to brighten every moment with my charming personality! I can easily be described as a social butterfly; every human is my friend. As for dogs, I haven’t successfully made any friends during my time at K9s and would prefer being an only dog in the household for now. I am crate trained, microchipped, up to date on my vaccines, familiar with some of my basics, and would love to continue learning with you! If you are considering adopting Samantha, we highly encourage you to reach out to set up a formal meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you and hope we can help find your new furever friend!

Story
Juliet or Juju, is a loving 5 years old Rodeshian Ridgeback mix. Juliet came to my life when she was just 4 weeks old. This girl have been nothing but a blessing in my life. She has a very strong temper/ stubborn but is super obedient and incredibly smart! She loves her daily walks, she gets along with male dogs no sot with female dogs. It’s an issue that ca be fixed with training. Juliet is super easy going, loves cuddles, loves her busy bones. Due to unforeseen circumstances with a heavy heart I have to rehome her. Anybody will be lucky to Juliet her in their family. She has two mini pins brothers that she loves very much and play with them everyday. I work 12 hours shifts and she has never had an accident and all she does is roam around the yard and sleep! I would prefer an active family with some sort of yard and that will Incorporate her into the family!
