We adopted honey from animal shelter 3 almost 4 years ago. When we first met honey she was very playful and friendly. We found out from the staff that honey had been abused and had been used for breeding. Honey seems a little confused at times. Honey does not like cats and has been in a couple of scrapes with neighborhood cats. I don't know how she is with children. She likes to tear up shoes and boxes and bags. Honey understands basic commands she will go into her crate when told she does understand if you ask her does she need to go to the bathroom. She will go outside and go to the bathroom she can be walked on a leash although if she sees a dog or cat she will get a little excited and move need to be redirected. She cannot be let out without a leash.

People seem to love my nubbin wags! Florida Curs are a very special, active, working line dog - I come with a lot of energy, but am also an amazingly fun and silly class clown. If you're looking for an active companion to hike, adventure and train with - I'm your guy! Mustard is a 2-year-old, 58 lb, Black Mouth Cur mix looking for his forever family. He is UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, and is not destructive when left loose in the house. Mustard is very energetic and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. He is not good with cats and needs work on his social skills with other dogs but has a lot of potential to do great with them. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body but is A LOT of dog and needs firm boundaries or he plays too rough, for this reason we are recommedning him to an adult only home with handlers who are physically strong and set good boundaries. But I am also strong and have a great build just like the car I am named after. But I am not all brawn, I am also very smart and sweet. I know tons of commands that my friends at the training camp taught me. I need someone that will take the time to continue working with me on the many commands I know. I love long walks, so if you jog or hike we will definitely get along. I also like relaxing and getting belly rubs and snuggles. Because I am strong, I will need someone that is able to handle me with walks because if I see a bicycle I get a little upset and need to have someone help me redirect so we can enjoy our outing. The trainer that I worked with recommends that I go to a home with just one owner because I can get protective of the home and do not want anyone invading the space I feel I need to protect. About Training Camp: Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the Greyhound Advancement Center which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”. Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. (Don’t worry, the dogs are treated very well and are the apple of their trainer’s eye ). Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We can not thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home!
