Story
Nemo is a sweet and mischievous 10 month old, 19 pound pup full of energy and love to give. Friendly with dogs and cats, and sweet with adults and children, although he is a bit shy at first, he usually adapts to his environment quite quickly. He is shy and grumpy to meet new dogs, but a little time, he begins to trust, he has no problem with them being small or large despite his small size. He loves receiving pampering, lots of love, hugs and kisses, playing with balls even if they are bigger than him, and sleeping in a big, warm bed. Potty trained (Sometimes he still has accidents). He is small. he won't grow up more. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. Story
How Kenya arrived: Kenya was brought in by a community member on 2/8/25 Why Kenya is the one for you:Kenya is a sensitive soul who has been working on building her confidence since entering our care. She was initially very fearful, showing signs like trembling and a tense body, but has also displayed positive moments as she's gotten more comfortable. She will need a patient and understanding home that can help her continue to come out of her shell. Because of her fearful behavior, Kenya should go to a home with no children under 10, and any kids in the household should understand how to respect her space. Her interactions with other pets are unknown, so introductions should be made carefully at a counselor's discretion. With time, love, and a gentle approach, Kenya has the potential to truly shine in the right home!. At SDHS:kenya has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Kenya is now ready for her new home!Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS VIDEO to learn more about them. Story
Zoey is a three-year-old Black Mouth Cur, mix. She is a sweet, empathetic, goofy dog who deserves so much love. She is crate trained during the night and when left alone. Zoey has high anxiety that makes it difficult for vet visits, and when being handled by others. Zoey takes about 2-7 days of adjustment before calming around new people. Gender and age do not matter. She is protective of her people. It would be best for Zoey to go to an experienced animal handler with minimal pets in the home. She is an isolated dog but does well-ish on walks. She needs to be rehomed due to location disruption where pets are not allowed. She has a Humane Society surrender appointment on May 15, and it is believed she will not pass their "handle safely" guidelines which could end in euthanasia. Please, only serious and understanding interests. She is a wonderful dog who shows so much love unconditionally and deserves life. **No bite history, unfixed

Millie is a 7 year old full breed Black Mouth Cur. Super loving. Trained off leash and on. My sister is going into assisted living and needs to rehome her. It would be best if you have a kid or another dog and yard. She is great off leash and is very obedient. She is super sweet and very loving and extremely loyal. Story
I'd like to introduce Dodger. We discovered this charming large-breed puppy, reportedly a Black Mouth Cur, through a FB group, and we're working to find him a loving home. Although details about his background are scarce, we can attest that he's a playful, affectionate pup who excels on walks and hikes, interacts wonderfully with children, and enjoys meeting new people and dogs. Unfortunately, I'm unable to provide a permanent home for Dodger, as my resident dog has behavioral issues and recently lost her sight and requires extra care.

Meet your New Best Friend at an Adoption Event near you! Roxie is thinking about coming to an adoption event near you very soon. If you’d like to learn more about this pup and their fluffy friends who are looking for their furever homes, check out our website: https://amazingdogs.org/available-dogs/ If you would like to reserve this doggie and have us bring them to the event of your choice for you to meet first, you can do so by paying a non-refundable deposit of $50 to our Venmo or Zelle account (619-918 2142 in the name of Amazing Dogs; pls indicate your telephone number).
