He is currently living with a wonderful foster who, due to illness, urgently needs to find him a new home. Copper loves being outside and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard. He is incredibly smart, catches on to things quickly, and adores toys and playing. Copper is food and treat motivated, making training fun and easy. He takes treats nicely and is doggie door trained and crate trained. Copper gets along well with other dogs 40 lbs or larger with proper and slow introductions. However, he needs a cat-free home. Oh my, aren't I Handsome? With my adorable one ear up. This gorgeous guy needs a foster OR forever home! Thor has been let down by humans enough times in his short life, that he has gotten used to depending on only himself. Don’t get us wrong, Thor has been a golden-eyed gentleman here at our rescue! But Thor has shown that he is also an adult dog, who can entertain himself with a rope or well-timed ball toss. Thor has co-existed around other dogs in the play yard, but prefers to spend his time playing by himself. Just look at him playing catch with himself! So smart! Thor knows how to Sit, Shake, and Lay Down for a treat and sleeps in his kennel every night! . We have been told Thor once lived with a 6 year old child, but became very protective of all toys in the home. We are requiring that all humans living with Thor are 15+ at this time. Howdy! My name is Loki. I am around 8 years old and am a sweet yet cautious boy. I was found in an abandoned home after my person left me behind. The person who found me got information from the neighbors,  so my age is approximate. My teeth are nice and white so we think I am younger than the age listed. Loki is my real name, and I know it. I know basic commands and listen very well. I walk very well on a leash with a prong collar. Otherwise, I just want to explore like crazy! I love to play fetch and catch my ball. I really love my ball! I also really love to be with my person, and the attention I get from my person. I get along with other dogs but so far I don't play with them too much. If they run in the yard I will too. I am a good boy who will wait nicely for my human to come home. Please, can you give me a furever home? I will make you a great companion. PS... I have never gone potty in the house, but I would love a doggie door, or someone that is home all day Loki is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. The day we saw Minnie’s intake picture at our county shelter, our jaws dropped. The neglect of her body was not something that happened over a month or two; it was several months to a year. We immediately pulled her and put her in a foster home. We quickly learned right away that Minnie loves food! She was receiving small home cooked meals and would gobble them up. After extensive blood work and several different tests were run, we learned that Minnie was actually unable to absorb nutrients from her food and they was passing straight through her. This is a chronic, lifelong pancreatic deficiency but is easily solved with enzymes added to her food at each meal. On her new supplements, Minnie is THRIVING. She has gained 10 pounds of healthy weight with this life saving medication! Minnie craves love. She enjoys being around people either cuddling on the couch, chasing toys or going on walks. During the day, Minnie would be a great co-worker. She is respectful of her space and home, but she is not afraid to speak up when she needs you. She prefers to be around dogs that don’t need to constantly be playing and move slower, and she is good with cats. We would love to see her in a forever home where she can continue to get the emotional and medical support that she needs and deserves.
