Story
Frankie is a happy, bouncy dog who came to PACC as a stray. Initially a bit nervous, Frankie has come out of his shell and always has a smile on his handsome face. Here’s what his volunteer fans have said:“I met Frankie for the first time today. He was a little nervous about leashing but once leashed, he exited the kennel easily. It was a hot day, so we just went to the play yard, where he explored. After that, he came to me and enjoyed petting, leaning into me and staying by my side. He got his feet wet in the pool for a cool off, then came back. He sits for treats and takes them gently. He returned to his kennel and allowed unleashing with no problem. I enjoyed my time with him.”“Frankie is a bouncy, fun-loving dog! We had him out in the yard and, boy can this guy jump! When not running around the yard or showing off his high jump, he was standing next to me for pets and treats. This boy is very sweet!”“Frankie is a WONDERFUL walker once you get him away from the shelter. He prefers to walk at a brisk pace, and he`s a great walker! Very friendly and social, and will sit for treats. He`s such a great dog away from all of the kennel chaos!”Frankie has been social, tolerant, and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Frankie today!!

Story
Concha, or pan dulce, is a delicious pastry, perfect for pairing with hot cocoa or morning coffee. Our sweet Concha pairs pretty perfectly with everything and everyone, as evidenced by her many community day trips! Here’s what community members have said about this amazing girl:“Cuddly, playful, easygoing Concha was a great house guest for Thanksgiving! She settled into our routine quickly. She is housebroken, did great in her crate, and got along with the resident female dog. She was happy to do anything we asked the whole time. Concha loves to play with toys - especially while rolled on her back. She can be so goofy!!! She would love to find her forever home where she can snuggle on the couch with her favorite humans!”“Concha is a sweetheart; a playful social butterfly! Everyone loved Concha. She was gentle, loved to play, loved to cuddle, overall, the best dog ever. We did not want to give her up. Anybody would be lucky to have her as their forever dog!”“I love Concha so much!! She is loving, playful, adorable. She is the cutest and sweetest dog I have ever met and she loves to cuddle. It’s hard to give her back because she is so sweet and perfect. She’s mellow and calm but can also be playful too!! Concha was wonderful to have at our house and I’d have a PAWjama party with her again!!!”“Sweet, social, playful Concha was an absolute sweetheart! We enjoyed spending the day with her and she was so gentle and kindhearted. She would be a great family dog. She loves to be active but our long walk sure did tire her out!”“Cute, cuddly, energetic Concha was so fun, calm, and snuggly. She ran very well and was so fast! She`s very calm and loved cuddling as much as walks. She is super friendly and when we had her she didn`t bark at anything.”Concha has spent time all over Tucson on her day trips! She’s visited Catalina State Park, the University of Arizona, Dutch Bro’s, and multiple people’s homes and sorority houses. She is a girl about town and has done wonderfully in every setting!Concha’s volunteer friends also love this sweet girl, with one sharing, “Concha is a polite lady who is easy to handle. Doesn’t pull and looks back to her handler often for directions. She loves cuddling too. She always has a great time with her kennelmate in a play yard.”Concha shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Sweet, happy, affectionate, friendly Concha

Story
A Cabezon is large fish native to the Pacific coast of North America. Well, our Cabezon also resides in North America, but that’s about where the similarities end. He’s furry rather than finned, and he spends his time in the desert sand rather than the sea. He’s a whole lot more fun to play with than a fish too! Shy and lacking confidence when he first arrived at the shelter, this boy’s inner playful puppy is on full display now! Here’s what volunteers have said:“Cabezon is such a sweet guy and a gentle soul. He’s an attentive walker, looking back often. He`s learning to trust and starting to enjoy petting. I love this handsome dog.”“I had Cabezon out in a play yard this morning. He was a little head shy, but easy to leash up in his kennel. In the yard, he would come up to me with a wagging tail and allowed me to scratch his chin and boop his nose, and he would lick my hand. Eventually I discovered the sweet spot- he loves to have his chin rubbed! He leaned into me as I scratched his chin and neck. It was my first time meeting him and he was understandably shy, he would only allow touch for short amounts of time, but he sure did love it. He was sweet and easy to return to his kennel.”“I’ve watched Cabezon blossom- he was very scared when he first arrived, and now he is so full of life! He’s energetic, playful, and super goofy! He’s a huge puppy who is so much more confident now. He still doesn’t allow as many pets as I’d like to give, but he sticks close to me in a play yard, jumps around happily, and even gives little licks of appreciation when I scratch his neck and chin. I love him!”Cabezon would love to find a home with an active family who will help him continue to build confidence and will give him training, guidance, and most of all, lots of love! Cabezon has shared his kennel politely with several different roomies and has been social, tolerant, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Please ask to meet Cabezon today!!
