Story
Some confuse Savannah for a young doberman but she is a coonhound! Having a rough start, she has had her tail amputated and her wounds are healing. She has gone from being terrified of even having music playing or the tv playing while muted, to a confident and goofy girl. After just 5 minutes of playing with her toys, she is ready to crash on the couch and binge her person’s favorite shows. We are still working on leash walking and not jumping but she is eager to please and it shouldnt take too much for her to be easy to handle. She does well with cats, especially if they dont mind her. If they hiss or bat at her, she will get excited and bark at them. I have one declawed cat that doesnt mind her one bit and they can pass each other with no incidents. My girls are a little more opinionated and she gets excited. Well socialized, enjoying the cool mornings sniffing around the park or trotting along her husky friends. Her foster sister likes her space but Savannah listens to the social cues given, without incident.

Story
Hi there, I’m Beans! I’m a 4 month old hound puppy. I love running and playing in my yard with the other dogs, I even take naps with the house cat. Food is my favorite thing in the world, or maybe it’s tug-of-war? I’m okay with sleeping in a crate, but I’ll sing a lovely tune when it’s time to go potty. I’m still learning to sit still, but I love taking walks. I hope to see you soon!

Story
Hey all, Ruthie here. I have been trying for such a long time to find my forever home. I really don't understand why I haven't. I think I'm around 3 yrs old so really a perfect age. My foster mom did this picture compare app on the computer and based on my picture, it said I'm some breed called a Entlebucher Mountain Dog! I don't know about that but it was kind of fun to see.  I'm already trained...ooh...let me tell you just how trained I am! I went to a place that had big walls and lots of people to meet and learned all kinds of commands. I think they called it Dick Conner Correctional Center and something called the STAR Inmate Training Program. I got so good that I didn't even need a leash with my trainer person, I just hung out with him all the time. It was so much fun! Even passed my test at the top of the class if I do say so myself! I was kind of sad when I left because I had so many friends there. My foster mom said that I am such a good girl that she doesn't understand why I haven't had tons of people wanting me. She said I am the most loyal, playful, people dog she has ever seen. That is true that I always want to be with my people, always! I love meeting new people and going places. According to my foster mom and the guys at the prison program, I have so many great qualities. The only thing that might be holding me back is that I need to be an only dog but let me explain why. I don't get angry with other dogs. I can go places and be around them. But I learned how to play super hard when I was young, maybe as a survival tool, and it's just too much for other dogs. I'm totally ok being with my people, in fact, I prefer it. I really would make someone a great companion dog. If you know of a person or family who might be my family, please tell them to go to my rescue's website and apply. Please? I want a home of my own....  www.carerescueok.org ##1550792##
