🚨 URGENT: Foster or Forever Home Needed for Okra. We live in Tallahassee, FL.I am urgently looking for a foster or adopter ASAP for my girl, Okra. She is currently boarded, and without placement soon, she is at risk of being taken to the shelter. Rescues have not been able to step in due to lack of fosters and resources.💛 About Okra:• 4 years old• Treeing Walker Coonhound / Bluetick Coonhound mix - around 55lbs• Spayed, healthy, up to date, & house-trained• Absolutely gorgeous, soulful, and deeply loving• Total couch potato + cuddle bug, loves being close to her person• Also an excellent running companion 🏃‍♀️• Very intuitive and empathetic, she truly senses when you’re down• Loves having a yard to explore• Not destructive when left alone🐾 The Home She Needs:Okra would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands dog behavior and boundaries. She may do best as the only pet, or with careful, experienced introductions.

Homer is a 67-pound boy with a gentle heart who’s slowly learning that the world can be kind. When he first arrived at the shelter as a stray, he was very scared after being on his own for so long. With patience and care, though, his sweet personality is beginning to shine through — he takes treats gently, enjoys being social and walks nicely on a leash. Homer is still nervous around new people and needs time to feel safe and confident, but he does well with other dogs and would thrive in a calm, loving home willing to give him the patience he deserves.
