Yuna is a gentle, shy girl who recently came to us after being surrendered when her owners passed away. She arrived alongside a smaller dog who has since been adopted, and she has shown that she can do well with other calm, respectful dogs in the right setting. Shelter life has been overwhelming for her, but once she’s outside the kennel, Yuna begins to relax and show her softer side—enjoying time in the grass, quietly exploring her surroundings, and, with patience, accepting gentle affection.In a short-term foster home (4/17–4/24), Yuna truly started to shine. She was described as mellow, laid back, and responsive to her handler. She walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and already knows cues like sit and stay. She enjoyed playing with a ball and stuffed toys, did well around people with a loose, comfortable posture, and even got along with cats in the foster home. Yuna is a bit of a picky eater and will thrive in a calm, patient home that allows her to build confidence at her own pace. For someone looking for a quiet, loving companion, she has all the makings of a deeply rewarding match.

Story
Adopted from the pound a year and a half ago. She was incredibly malnourished at the time and now that she's healthy she exceeds the weight limit for where I live and I cannot keep her. She is crate trained and I keep her crated when I'm not home. She also has a lot of energy and would do better with a fenced yard. I take her to off leash parks, she has never had issues with other people or other dogs. She comes with the crate, leashes, food for months, toys, snacks, bowls, basically everything she will need for her new home

Sleepy is being fostered in PA. The adorable Sleepy is celebrating his second birthday and continues to grow and thrive. He is now crate trained. He is also house trained if kept on a routine. Sleepy has added home protector to his repertoire as he will bark at the sounds of strangers. True to his name, Sleepy has developed an affinity for electric blankets and still loves to cuddle. Although he requires slow introductions to humans and canines, he loves to play with other dogs, prefers not to be alone and is a wonderful companion.. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
