A spirited seven-year-old Black and Tan Coonhound mix currently in Temecula, CA, whose presence is a lively blend of soulful howls and boundless energy wrapped in a sleek black coat with warm brown accents. Koa is an affectionate, high-energy companion who thrives on human connection and loves being part of the action, whether he is heading out for a long run, enjoying enrichment time with his favorite bones, or hopping into the car for an adventure! He already knows commands like sit, lay, and stay, and he responds well to structure and continued learning through positive reinforcement. Koa forms strong bonds with his people and greets others with enthusiasm, bringing a joyful spark into daily life! He is house-trained, crate trained, and comfortable being left alone for short periods, making him a steady presence in a home that can match his active lifestyle. His expressive howl and constant-companion nature make him a memorable and engaging friend who loves to stay close to his favorite humans. Koa would do well in a calm, structured environment with an experienced guardian who understands canine communication and behavior support. He needs clear boundaries, consistent routines, and plenty of daily exercise to help him feel balanced and fulfilled.
