About Me: Name: Ramona Quimby Breed (or best guess): Bichon (or mix) Approximate Age: 7-8 years Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 14 lb Adoption Fee: $295 (normal $495) Requirements: Patient adopter, fenced yard, another dog  Why In Rescue: Breeder Surrender Profile:  Ramona Quimby came with a number of her friends from a breeder that was going to stop using them for breeding (and hopefully out of breeding completely).  Ramona is shy/timid, but getting more comfortable to people and will come up to get a treat especially through the kennel fence.  She is still nervous about being picked up.  At the shelter she will follow the caretaker to go outside.  She does not walk on a leash yet, so will need a securely fenced yard so she can safely go outside.  Ramona NEEDS another small dog in the home to be comfortable.  At the shelter she is in the puppy mill survivor group with several other females and males. My name is Willow, and I am (if I do say so myself) the best dog ever! I love people and my favorite thing is to snuggle next to my person. I love dogs too, though, and I like to play with cats—by chasing them! (But sometimes they don’t want to play with me. I can’t figure out why….) I would do best with an adopter who has a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing) and preferably an adopter who is home much of the time because I don’t want to be a “latchkey” dog. I’m completely vetted and am ready for my new home, but the rescue who took me in is going to be very fussy about finding the perfect adopter for me. My adoption fee is $350.
