Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. The call was put out for the need from several commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of the midwest. Of course they always want money for some of the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. With beautiful Nebula she was used over & over again as a breeding machine & spent her life in a cage. These innocent souls lives were instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. She was one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 17 lives of mums, dads & puppies including Nebula. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Nebula how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Nebula & her friends were bought back to the WA state where she is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. This girl is a very special girl. We noticed instantly she is the guardian angel of the group. She watches to make sure nothing is happening to her friends, the other mums. It’s as if they are her babies. She has one of the nicest & sweetest personalities we have seen. She lets us pick her up & she is so sweet & innocent & such a lovely little lady & wants you to love her & be affectionate with her. She is so easy go with the flow type of personality. She absolutely adores her 2 friends she came with, another bichon & a Maltese. Everything is all so new to her & she is learning how she should have always been cherished. We also tested her in a daycare environment & she has done well in that environment. The reality is, the rescue is her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. The fact too that no one can ever be cruel to her ever again. She was shaved down to the skin & we see the breeders do this when they are so very matted so it’s only beginning to grown back in. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not ever get to experience ever until she was rescued. She currently sleeps with her friends who we rescued together. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She is good with being bathed & groomed & tolerates the hairdryer. Believe it or not she just lets you do anything to her. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash. Since we have had her she has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Nebula rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be sold & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us. But she does absolutely amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Nebula as you can imagine spent her life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Nebula where someone is home during the day or she can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Nebula is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Nebula has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with her friends she came with. She will be found snuggled up with them. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for her to thrive in. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard if you have a freestanding home. Nebula is roughly 9.4 lbs & he is roughly 6 years old & ‭a bichon‬. What she is mixed with we are not sure. Female, she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHPP, bordatella, leptospirosis & rabies. She had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays & had 1 tooth removed. She had 1 minor molar removed. We have spent far more on Nebula with getting her from a commercial breeder & cleaning up what he did to her. Bringing her to WA with her travel costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA & Omaha etc & bringing her to WA then her adoption fee comes close to covering. Nebula has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had her around small children & she adores them but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Nebula was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Nebula’s friends & siblings she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Nebula potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Nebula & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Nebula who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for the special sweet little Nebula. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Nebula has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet QQ❤️ QQ was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where she lived in a cramped cage with accumulated waste and fur beneath, making standing painful and emitting strong ammonia fumes. She is now adapting to everyday life and is expected to become healthier and happier soon! * Interaction with People: Loves people a lot but initially fears strangers, especially men. Takes time to warm up, but once getting comfortable, she follows around, wags her tail, and likes to be by your side. She gives lots of kisses as a way of saying I love you! * Interaction with Dogs: Shows little interest in other dogs and enjoys spending time alone. Feels uncomfortable with overly aggressive doggy friends! Tends to display her emotion by look to familiar dogs. * Interaction with Cats: Is indifferent to cats and passes by them without much interest. * Separation Anxiety: Has Minimal separation anxiety. Scratches the door when the dog he lives with goes out, but she sleeps and does well alone when the family is out. * Potty Training: Prefers to use indoor potty and is proficient with using pads. Occasionally confuses blankets with her potty spot but is getting training. Does well with outdoor potty during walks. * Hygiene: Cooperates well during baths. Nail trimming can be frightening and cause some fuss, but she stays calm. Is also good with brushing and drying. Feels uncomfortable with scissors on her face. * Walking: Enjoys slow walks, but tends to pull the leash in the direction she wants to go. * Car Sickness: Travels well in the car without any signs of motion sickness. * Is very gentle with no biting, even when touched or petted by strangers. * May bark softly when guests come into the house. * Is afraid of sudden sounds or movements and isn't used to being picked up or put on your lap. * Has allergies and is on an allergy diet. ** Health Status ** - Scaling done, two teeth extracted - Due to periodontitis, her gums have receded, causing instability in her teeth. This prevents her from eating hard food, and she needs to be fed with soft kibble and snacks. - Has an eye injury but no vision impairment. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @co7mo3

Story
Good with other dogs • Good with children • Food motivated Spitzer is an adorable little white Bichon puppy with a gentle and quiet nature. While he’s calm most of the time, he has no problem getting playful and tumbling around with his fellow puppies when the mood strikes. Spitzer is incredibly cuddly and loves to be held, following you around and showering you with sweet kisses. His favorite place? Right in your lap, where he can soak up all the attention and love! At night, Spitzer sleeps in a pen with three other puppies, and during the day, he enjoys relaxing in a gated kitchen area and napping in a dog bed. Spitzer is in the process of becoming more consistent with using his puppy pads and doing his business outside. He thrives on attention from people and especially enjoys the company of older children. Spitzer is good with other dogs and sits well in a car. He is food motivated, making him eager to learn. Spitzer’s gentle nature and loving personality make him an ideal companion for any home. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Violet is full of personality, energy, and—let’s be honest—a little bit of mischief! She’s incredibly smart and knows exactly what she’s doing when she tests the limits (which she does often). Her independent streak means she won’t sit still in your lap for long, but she loves playing, exploring, and making sure she’s always the center of attention. She’s got a bark that can make the walls shake, so apartment life may not be the best fit for her. Potty training is coming along, but she still needs consistency to master it. She’s great with toys (maybe a little too great, as she’s already destroyed a few!) and thrives with an owner who appreciates a feisty, clever pup who keeps them on their toes. If you’re looking for an energetic, spunky pup who will always keep life interesting, Violet is your girl! ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Story
Ramona is an independent little pup who marches to the beat of her own drum! While other dogs may be vying for attention, she’s content doing her own thing—whether that’s exploring, playing with toys, or simply relaxing nearby. She isn’t overly needy for affection, but she also doesn’t mind the occasional cuddle. Unlike some puppies, Ramona isn’t much of a barker or whiner, making her a relatively easygoing companion. She’s learning basic commands like "No," "Stop it," and "Leave it," though potty training is still a work in progress. She’s got a playful, adventurous spirit and would thrive in a home that allows her to explore and engage at her own pace. If you’re looking for an independent but lovable pup who won’t demand constant attention, Ramona might be your perfect match! ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Story
Beatrice is the sweetest, most affectionate pup of the bunch! She’s a true people pup who wants to be close to you at all times—whether that’s curling up on your lap, resting on your shoulder, or jumping into your arms before you even sit down. She’s small and dainty, but don’t let that fool you—she can keep up in playtime and hold her own when things get rowdy! She’s also likely to struggle with separation anxiety, so she’d do best in a home where someone is around often or where she has another furry companion to keep her company. She’s still working on potty training (as all puppies are!), but she’s eager to please and already knows basic commands. If you want a pup who will love you unconditionally, Beatrice is ready to shower her forever family with affection! ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue.
