Please apply a few days (or more) ahead of the event to allow time for processing. We hope to see you on Sunday!!! *Dog/Cat attendance is not guaranteed. Feel free to text the event coordinator to confirm a specific dog/cat's attendance: 703-447-4766 Meet Ollie! Ollie is about 3.5 years old and weighs 13 lbs. He came to our rescue when a local breeder could no longer care for all of her breeding dogs. Ollie is very timid and not used to being touched. He hates loud noises and moving too fast. He is slowly getting more comfortable in his foster home. Ollie will need another dog in his forever home. He likes to sit by his foster's side and learned to jump on the couch by watching the resident dogs. He is not house trained. He spent the majority of his life in a crate before coming to our rescue. Ollie would do well with dog savvy kids 11 years and up. Ollie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. Sparkler (Sparky to his friends) is an 8'ish year old, 15-pound Bichon.  Sparky is looking for a forever home with his best girl, Starla.   Sparky is a charming little fellow.  He loves to play with toys and other dogs.  He gets the zoomies almost every day, and he zips around the yard with such exuberance.  He will throw himself into his foster mom's lap for snuggles when the mood strikes.  Foster mom now understands why people love Bichons so much. Sparky and Starla clearly love each other, so we would like to keep them together.  They take a little bit to warm up to new people but when they do, it all goodness!  Their ideal home is in the suburbs with a securely fenced yard.  They both do well with other dogs.  Children make them nervous, so teenagers and older is preferred. Sparky is in good health!  He is missing all of his teeth, so his tongue hangs out to the left of his mouth.  He is darling!!! Starla is ready to be the star at YOUR home!  Starla is a 6'ish- year-old, 15-pound beautiful Bichon.  Starla is looking for a forever home with her best friend, Sparkler!   Starla is a sweet girl who patiently stands by her foster mom for attention.  She loves to be pet.  She just recently learned how comfortable sofas can be, and she'll wait to be lifted onto to one.  She loves her treats, particularly chicken. Starla has a fun, sweet personality, especially when she is with her stud-muffin Sparkler.  They both clearly love each other, so we would like to keep them together.  They take a little bit to warm up to new people, but when they do they are super sweet and adorable. Their ideal home is in the suburbs with a securely fenced yard.  They both do well with other dogs.  Children make them nervous, so teenagers and older is preferred.
