Must live close in to RI This supports all rescue dogs for vetting, foods and whatever they need. We are all volunteers. Carmen is a 2 year old, 18 lb. fully vetted Shihtzu/Bichon, called a Shichon, She was living in Arkansas and we recently placed one of her babies. Dotty, who is a real sweetie. Now it is the momma's turn to get her forever home. Carmen is independent, loves to play with toys, relax in her dog bed and enjoys your company. She follows you around and gets so excited to greet you when you come home. She plays nicely with the other dogs at the foster home. Carmen came from a breeder so she is still learning about the world around her and she is very observant and learning what to to do. She would do best with a companion or someone who will help her along. OUR PROCEDURE: We will choose the dog's possible family as soon as we see a match. We will phone you and further discuss . The dog will be in Rhode Island for a meet and greet. Please realize, it is our goal to get the dogs into the right homes as soon as possible and no shows are not good for the dogs and other serious dog families. If you can provide a FABULOUS home please file our free application (see link above) and tell us why we should let you adopt our wonderful rescue. The more you tell us the better picture we have of the home you can provide for our rescue Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do save applications, but you may put multiple names on one application. If you have already applied in the past, then please send us a message with your name and what dog you are now interested in being considered for and we will pull off the server. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted. If you don't see any information you need to know, we probably don't have an answer....like cats...idk... Age:   approx 7 years old  (both) Weight: 12 lbs (Prince)  10 lbs (Princess) My adoption fee is $ 995  which includes transportation charges to the Northeast. Prince and Princess are a bonded pair and will be adopted together.   Both are very affectionate and very sweet. They play outside with the others, and love running in the yard. Potty and crate trained. They are always together, share a kennel, and have their own bowls, but eat each other's bowls. Very adorable pair. Now that their hair is grown, they look a lot like it but she’s a smaller size. She’s a sweetheart. She gives kisses and wants to be held. He also does a lot of kisses and affectionate.
