Story
Cooper will be nine on February 6th, 2025. We got him from a lovely family who was breeding their two pet dogs. He is still pretty energetic at times and a little sassy when I pull out my phone for photos. He often gives me the side eye like he's too good to have his pic taken. He needs to be groomed fairly regularly or he will get very matted. He doesn't like his paws touched. He is good with children but doesn't like when they are too close to his favorite spot, like a basket with blankets in it. He occasionally suffers from seizures that last only a few minutes and he prefers to be alone hidden under something when it happens. He also occasionally has pee accidents in the house. He is crate trained and gets crated when we leave the house and at bedtime. He likes to eat tissues in secret. We have another small dog that he is very good with that he could be rehomed with our without. He may do well with another dog in the home. We are hoping for someone who is loving and kind.

Story
Hi there! My name is Nattie. I am a 5 y/o, 12lb, Bichon Frise. The first 5 years of my life have been really hard. I was used as a breeding dog over and over again, even though my litters were frequently not born alive. I was never shown love or affection either. My world changed for the better once I was surrendered to Zoe’s House Rescue. Since then, I’ve been showered with love and attention and boy does it feel good! Because of my rough past, I will take a bit to fully warm up to my forever family. I’m really hoping someone will take a chance on me cause once I’ve gotten to know you, I am very loving and appreciative of my family members. Too much commotion scares me so I’m really hoping to find a home that is calm. A person or family without young children would probably be best for me. I love cuddling on a big dog bed with the other dogs in my foster home so a home with other dogs would be fine. I would also be fine being your one and only. I love to quietly explore outside, so a fenced in yard would be great. If my future home does not have a fence, they must be willing to take the time to allow me to explore (on leash) in the safety of their yard. I still don’t have the confidence to take walks around a neighborhood, but with continued work, it may be something I can eventually enjoy. I am fully housebroken, but regression is common in new environments. Did I mention that I love being around my family? A person or family who is home most of the day would be ideal for me. I like going in my crate when the door is open. My foster parents sometimes find me just hanging out there. But if they leave the house and put me in the crate with the door closed, I whine and cry. I also love to sleep in my foster parent’s bed. I curl up at the end of bed and don’t move the entire night. If you prefer I don’t sleep in your bed, that's ok, I would be fine on a dog bed next to yours. I am a healthy little girl. I’m up to date on vaccines, been spayed and had my teeth professionally cleaned. I am being fostered in Blandon, PA. I really hope to find a patient family that will allow me to be part of their forever! If you think you might be the right family for me, please apply on www.zoeshouserescue.com .
