Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Mabel — Ready for Her Sweet Retirement Mabel is a 10&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old Bichon who was recently released from a life of making puppies. She arrived in our care in pretty rough shape, but with gentle handling, good food, and a much&#226&#128&#145needed grooming, she’s finally discovering what it feels like to be loved and cared for Despite everything she’s been through, Mabel has a playful little spark — every now and then she gets these adorable bursts of puppy energy that make everyone smile. And when she’s done? She’s a champion napper, happiest curled up in her cozy bed in the kitchen. She also does well in a crate and finds comfort in having her own little space. Mabel is still learning the basics — stairs, leash walking, and housetraining — but she’s trying, and she’ll get there with patience and routine. She’s a gentle, sensitive girl who enjoys people and would love a calm home where she can be pampered the way she always deserved. She’d do well with another friendly dog and would be fine with older, quieter kids who understand her pace. Rambunctious little ones aren’t really her style anymore. Her recent grooming made her feel like a brand&#226&#128&#145new dog — she looks adorable and feels so much better! She’ll need regular grooming to keep her comfortable and looking her best. Mabel’s dream home is peaceful, loving, and ready to spoil her through her golden years. She has so much sweetness left to give Could you be the one to give Mabel the soft landing she’s waited her whole life for? Mabel is now spayed, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  She also had bloodwork and a dental done while in our care.  Her adoption fee is $400 to help with her vetting costs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 12:31 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This majestic little lady is QUEENIE  She is 9 years young and 7 pounds and a great little toy Shih Tzu that you can hold and cuddle and take on errands with you.  I thought about keeping QUEENIE myself because of her age but I have foster dogs who take up my time and attention and QUEENIE tries to follow behind me and ends up getting run over. She still plays and goes outside to potty with everyone else and all of the dogs are bigger than she is.  She is quiet and independent and primarily healthy.  Because of her age and breed, she has Luxating Patella in both legs but that does not stop her from running and jumping AND climbing the stairs just fine.  She use to sleep in a crate but decided that the laundry room was more comfortable so she drug her little bed and blanket into the laundry room.  I was shocked but I allowed her to make that her room. She is not spayed but I will get her spayed before she goes to her new home.  QUEENIE was horribly matted when I got her, she was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX and had to be shaved down.  She has grown out and needs to be groomed again which she will be this week coming up, April 1, Wednesday. This is simply a little doll toy Shih Tzu that is pure delightful to have around.  I love having her in my home. If you are interested in adopting QUEENIE, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This cute little boy is ANDY, he was named Raggedy ANDY because he looks so bad full of mats and overgrown hair.  He had been on the streets a long time by no fault of his own.  Someone on a street in San Antonio knew him and his owner.  His owner died and the family put poor ANDY on the streets.  The neighbors felt sorry for him and would take turns feeding him.  Once the winter got cold on a 26 degree night, a friendly neighbor put a sweater on him and allowed him to sleep in their gargage but that neighbor too tossed him back on the streets.  Another neighbor could not stand it any longer and called me to take him in. It took 2 days to groom ANDY with the hard mounds of mats on him and he just sat there very quiet and patiently waiting to get all of the stuff off of him.  Pictures are available. ANDY is 2 years old and 18 pounds and a great little guy.  He really likes following me around but he is pretty independent, not a velcro dog although he does like to cuddle and be close to watch TV.  He walks very well on a leash and does not get car sick and of course he still very well for a bath and to be groomed which he will need to be groomed about every 6-8 weeks. He gets along with the other foster dogs, crate and potty trained.  If you are interested in adopting ANDY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This stout short & stocky guy reminds me of a heavy and strong TANK so that is what I named him.  He is 35 pounds and a medium-small dog that is 5 years old and just built sturdy and solid.  He has a bit of Shih Tzu in him with that Terrier.  Now his personality is just the opposite, he is sooooo well-mannered with a curious behavior.  He follows me around like a student waiting for me to guide him and teach him what to do.  TANK is mellow, very quiet and just goes with the flow.  He never bothers the other foster dogs and they do not bother him.  He is crate and potty trained, walks well on a leash and jumps right in the car ready to go wherever. This guy would be a great first dog or a dog for someone who is not that active because the daily maintenance on him is very low.  He does enjoy a leisurely walk though because he likes to sightsee. We know he is some type of terrier mix but not sure what kind and he will probably need to be groomed every 3-4 months to keep his pretty golden coat looking good. If you are interested in adopting TANK, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
