Story
When describing a senior dog to a shelter, potential adopter, or rescue group, it’s important to highlight both their age-related needs and their positive qualities. Here’s how you can talk about a senior dog: 1. Age and Health: • “My dog is 15 and while she is in their senior years, they’re still in good health for their age. They may need [any special care, like joint supplements, a special diet, or regular vet check-ups].” 2. Temperament: • she is very calm and laid-back, as senior dogs often are. They enjoy quiet environments and gentle attention. They get along well people or prefer to be in a home where they’re the only pet. 3. Training and Behavior: • “Because they’re older, they’re well-trained and have good manners. They’re house-trained, know basic commands, and are great at following routines.” She does bark. 4. Energy Level: • “My dog is lower energy now, enjoying shorter walks and lots of naps. They’re content with some light play and enjoy

Story
Meet Lamby! ILamby is a beautiful female 2-3 year old bichon mix.  She is looking for her furever home.  She loves to play with other dogs and would do best with another dog in the home.  She is a bit nervous and a flight risk, so she requires a fenced in yard and extra caution when taking her outside.  Most of all she needs a calm and patient forever family that will work with her to come more out of her shell.   She is not yet leash or house trained.  She is a beautiful girl looking for her forever family to love her! She is up to date on vaccines and spayed. If you're interested in adopting Lamby, you can apply here: https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ ##2202921##

Story
Melo’s a 5yo 15lb Bichon mix. He’s house and crate trained. He’d be good in a secure fenced yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. He likes being with his person and can guard his person from others so will need a strong leader who can correct him which he does follow when given. He shows signs when bothered so people need to be observant. Melo MUST have a calm adult only home with no dogs or kids in the home or who visit often (he’ll need to be put in another room when they do) along with people who are on board to show leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT fit this please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone not a fit. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Melo’s neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Currently fostered in Hatboro, PA. If your home fits the bio and MUST haves and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at
