Story
Meet Felicity! Felicity is 3 year old, 13 pound Bichon Frise. Felicity is a rescue from a puppy mill, where she lived her entire life in a cage. Though she's had a very hard life, she is looking for a loving and caring forever home where she can finally experience love and care she deserves! Felicity is shy and nervous around humans at first, but little by little she is coming more out of her shell. Her foster family is still getting to know her, but from what we can tell, she is full of love and has a sweet personality. Felicity is still trying to figure out what a dog is supposed to do, as leash walking, treats, and playing are all new to her. She will need a calm, patient household to help her blossom. Felicity has caught on to house training quickly, and does very well with other dogs! She would prefer a forever family who is home more often than not, as she doesn't like to be away from her people for long. If you're a quiet home filled with patience, love, and understanding, Felicity might be your pup! Felicity is currently being fostered in Queens, NY. Her adoption fee is $600 Felicity is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Simone! Simone is cutest 4 year old 18 pound Bichon! Simone is still very shy and scared of many things, but she is slowly coming out of her shell. She is such an angel, and she is great with human and dogs. Simone enjoys when you pet her head, she even wags her tail sometimes! Her favorite toy is a squeaky ball. At the moment she is a bit hesitant to go outside, but we are working on it! Simone is working on house training, and she is learning very fast. She doesn't pee on a wee wee pad but she definitely showed some progress in short period of time. She barks and howls when no one is home, but it doesn't last for too long. Simone would prefer a forever family who is home more often than not, as she doesn't like to be away from her people for long. Simone is the sweetest little girl who will make a perfect addition to your home. Simone is being fostered in Queens, NY. Her adoption fee is $600. Simone is a Patron Pup. Story
Meet Sanya! Sanya is a 4 year old Bichon Frise. Sanya is a gentle soul still learning to navigate the world outside of her past. Although she is shy and scared of new people, she shows a budding curiosity and a sweet disposition. Her inquisitive nature shines through as she explores her surroundings, and she's beginning to blossom in a loving environment. She is not interested in toys and isn't particularly food-motivated, but she will thrive on gentle affection and companionship. She has a friendly rapport with my resident dog, which suggests she may do well in a home with a canine companion to help boost her confidence. Sanya also has an impressive 95% success rate with wee wee pads! She's well on her way to mastering her potty training, making her a great candidate for an adoptive home that can continue her progress. Sanya would do best in a calm, patient environment where she can take her time adjusting. A home with a loving, understanding family and perhaps another dog would be ideal. She needs someone who can help her gain confidence and show her that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. If you're looking for a sweet, loving dog with a heart of gold, Sanya is ready to find her forever home! Let's give Sanya the loving home she deserves! Sanya is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY. Her adoption fee is $600. Sanya is a Patron Pup. Story
Hello! My name is Angel and I was rescued from a mesh bag outside a slaughterhouse in East Asia, destined to be slaughtered! I was found in a horrible condition, but have thankfully been treated and cared for and am now healthy and ready for my forever home! I am currently living with my foster family in the USA, where I am learning all the joys of having a family. I do not really like to play with other dogs, but I do not mind being around any, I am good with cats and I am great with kids! I really love my people and would love to be with you as much as possible. If you are looking for a perfect companion to take everywhere, I am your girl! If you are interested in being my forever family, please submit an adoption application for me! I have lots of love to give and cannot wait to meet you!
