I’m 2 years old and weigh about 15 pounds, which makes me just the right size for cuddling close. One of my favorite things is sitting right next to my foster mom—whether that’s in her chair or snuggled up beside her at bedtime. And when she says, “Good morning,” I get so excited I can’t help but bounce around and give her kisses! I admit that I follow my foster mom everywhere, not necessarily because I want her attention, but because I want to know what she’s up to. Unless, of course, she’s giving the other pups attention—then I must be part of the action! Hee hee! I need you to know that it will take some time for me to warm up to new people. Sometimes my foster mom says I can be a bit stubborn and take some time to warm up, but once I trust you, I’m as loyal as they come. I’m also a fast learner—I know commands like “Down,” “Stay,” and “Come,” and I’ve been told I’m pretty clever (almost like a little human!). My favorite activities? Doing zoomies in the yard and having fun with other dogs. I do need a fenced yard to run safely, and I’d love a dog sibling to help me feel secure. I’m good with kids, too, as long as they understand I can be a bit timid at first. Loud noises make me nervous, but I’m getting braver every day! Hi, my name is Corbin and I am a very shy and timid young guy that is ready to find my forever people with patience, toys and lots of love to help me be the best I can be! I’m very afraid of being touched by humans but I do love them.  Over the past few months, foster mom has been working with me on getting used to touch. She can now hold me and put me in her lap and I know I am safe.  I give her smiles and tail wags.  I’ve been brave enough to lick my foster mom’s hand but I’ll run away if you try to hold me or pick me up.  that whole picking me up thing makes me nervous and I panic, but I do enjoy gentle scratches.  With time, lots of patience and love, I’ll get there.  I’m getting a little better every day but when things are scary, they’re really scary! You have to understand that I likely have never been in a loving home so sounds like the TV, clanking dishes, the horrible vacuum and lots of commotion might make me a little worried. I have shown foster mom that I do have some puppy antics in me, hee hee! I like to play with soft toys, run around the yard and wrestle with the other dogs in my foster home. So, it’ll be important that I have a good doggy role model in my forever home to help me learn that touch isn’t scary and keep learning. A social, well-balanced and confident dog is required. This means that my buddy will need to show me humans are safe, how to get on a potty routine and teach me which toys are the best! My fur-brother and the other dogs in my foster home have been amazing teachers! I am still working on my dog skills like potty training. We go outside on a routine, but I will still need of practice in my forever home. Foster mom wants to let you know that I am smart – I already know what “go potty” means! We tried kennel training, and oh boy, I will tell you how much I don’t like it! Bark bark! Foster mom uses gates for the dogs when she isn’t home. I also bark at her when she comes home – maybe I’m telling you I’m glad you’re home, or maybe I’m filling you in on what happened when you were away!  Also, a fenced yard is required as I don’t have a leash or tie-out experience. This is very important for potty training too. My foster mom said I’m fun, adorable, learns quickly and likes to play with other dogs and that I play hard!  Oh and that I have a wonderful appetite! I will let you know with a bark bark that I am excited for dinner! At just a year old and 14 pounds, I’m still learning the ropes but making big strides every day. My foster mom says I’m cuddly, and I have to agree—I love resting my head on her shoulder whenever I get the chance. Once I learn you are someone I can trust, we can be friends. My favorite things? Walks, treats, and romping around with my foster sister! I’m pretty polite with other dogs we meet on walks, and though I can be shy with people at first, I’m working on it. My confidence is building, especially when I’m with a calm, friendly dog I can follow. I do require another confident and social dog in my forever home so I can continue learning all the important dogs things, including trusting people. I’m learning a lot in my foster home. We are working on “Come” and “Down.” I’m doing great with potty training on a schedule and can even use a potty pad if needed. I’m not really into crates, but I do well on a leash—even if I get a bit excited sometimes and pull a little. When I'm outside, I need to be on a leash for extra safety, but I'm getting better at coming back from the fenced yard into the house without any trouble. I'm a great eater and a bit mischievous, which adds to my charm. In the mornings, I love to wake up my foster parent by licking their ear—I'm such a sweetheart! A calm home with gentle, understanding people would be perfect for me, especially if there’s another dog my size to help me feel secure. Oh, and I do best when things aren’t too loud or chaotic. I’ll bark if other dogs pass by our yard, but just a gentle reminder, and I’ll quiet down. He loves other dogs and would do best in a home with at least one other dog that can show him the ropes. He is currently working on potty training and learning how to use stairs. Eddie is terrified of leashes, so he needs a fenced-in yard to run around in. Mill dogs require a little extra patience as they learn to navigate life on the outside, but it is so rewarding to see them learn and experience new things. I can see but sometimes maybe not all that clearly. I do great with people once I get to know them but would probably do best in a home with just older kiddos. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, my name is Calvin and I spent my early years not in any sort of inside, family-style living so this is all new to me.  So forgive me if I am a little skittish or nervous occasionally.  Especially when we first meet.  I do the same thing when outside of the environment I’ve grown accustomed to but I’m working on that and would do best with a home that will be patient and understanding.  I admit, I’ve growled at people when my stress level is over the top for me but I haven’t ever snapped or bitten anyone. But for now, maybe a home without small kids would be better as commotion, loud noises and men seem to make me more tense. I don’t have too much desire to play right now as I’m still trying to get accustomed to life in a loving environment.  I’m low key but I ventured out a bit this week and actually played with a toy!  Hold your applause! I don’t really have a fur bestie so I can be an only pet if you’re home most of the day.  Why, you ask?? Well, I tend to have lots of conversation with people and like to voice my complaints to the peanut gallery often (bark bark).  I am crate trained but that darn potty thing is a bit trickier.  However, when you keep me on a good schedule, I feel I’m close to making it happen! I don’t require a fenced yard either, as I’m working on my leash skills.  Granted, it’s got more work to be had but we can do it!  I have put my noodles together and with lots of practice, I know “sit, come, kennel, outside and go potty!” I’m food motivated which is why my noodles are functional. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home.
