Story
Name: Grinch Breed Guess: Bichon Mix Age: 1 year old Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 20 pounds Shelter Temperament: Very Shy Energy Level: Low Children: No Cats: Working on it! Dogs: Working on it! Adoption fee: $395 Hello! I need a very special home that has patience and can give me time. I'm currently living in a foster home where I'm learning that people aren't so bad! I don't like to be picked up and although I'm small, I have a bit of an attitude and like my space respected. The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please understand that we get many applications for our available dogs. We review each application and do our absolute best in choosing a home that best suits each dog and his/her needs and personality. This is Iris, she is special needs as she has lung disease. Iris is currently on an inhaler twice a day. Iris was born in a breeding facility with poor ventilation, the fumes she breathed in damaged her lungs. Iris is 5 years old, potty pad trained, up to date on vaccines and spayed. She likes attention, she is a toy HORDER and LOVES to sleep with your dirty sock or slipper. She wants your smell close to her. Iris is learning how to be a dog, how to trust people and what the good life is. If you would like a precious girl to spoil for the rest her life, please consider applying to adopt her.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2024, 3:24 pm
