Approx. DOB: 5/8/17                Approx. Weight: 12 Lbs Adoption Fee: $250 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Hi my name Josephine and I'm looking for my forever family! I'm a 8 year old Bichon and was surrendered by a breeder. My surgery to get spayed and my dental went great, I didn't loose any teeth! I'm learning to do all the normal things dogs do. Doing pretty good about potting outside when I get taken out every 3 to 4 hours. I am now taking treats from them and jumping up in there lap. I go up and down stairs and following them around. Josephine will do best in a home with a fenced yard as well as another little doggie companion. I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Ruby is a precious senior girl who has been through too much in her 12 years. She was found as a stray and had severe dry eye disease that had not been treated, resulting in pain and blindness. She has been groomed and pampered, had an extensive dental, and had eye surgery to remove her very damaged and non-functional eyes. She feels SO much better and we are so happy for sweet Ruby. Ruby would do best in a more quite home where she will not be expected to navigate stairs. Older children only. No young children. She does well with other respectful dogs that are not high energy. She basically ignores them. She loves her food and loves to eat. She is very attached to her kennel and bed as you can imagine with her blindness. She can leave them and walk around a small distance away. She does not bark and foster Mom takes her potty outside during the times she leaves her kennel. She is a sweet sweet girl who deserves a pampering retirement home for her to live out the rest of her days. Due her age and medical complexity, we received approval from department of agriculture to not spay Ruby as it would have been too hard on her little body.
