Story
Freddy might be little but he is full of personality. This guy loves to snuggle up and get all the pets! Don't let his cuddly side fool you cause he also likes to chase toys and rough house. He is a fun loving guy who enjoys an adventure. Freddy is looking for a strong leader in an adopter. When Freddy is not given structure, he typically will make up his own rules. When around a strong leader who gives him structure, he is a perfect gentleman. He is great with other dogs, but would need to be in a house with no children or teenage children. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Story
Several years ago a good samaritan in Nashville saved me, I was running down the road. She took me in for 3 years, but couldn't afford to take me to the vet. I developed skin and ear issues so she reached out for someone to take me, and here I am getting the health care I need and responding very well. Yes I'm mostly blind, but I'm a gentle fellow that enjoys being petted. I could spend the day sitting on a lap being company and enjoying a persons company. I'm quiet and I would be fine in a small home with a small fenced yard because I love to sit in the sun and snooze.

I was part of a backyard breeding operation. Once I was rescued I was so happy to be out of a tiny cage. I wasn't taken care of very well. I have been neutered, and I've had the one tooth I had in my head pulled. My bloodwork looks good. Since I lived most of my life in a cage I need some work with my potty training. If you like a Shih Tzu I'm your typical one. Loving, and independent. My coloring is dark brown and white. I know the photo's aren't that flattering, but I'm a good looking fellow.
