I need a little time to trust and I’m not into being picked up by strangers, but once you’re my person? I’m a cuddle guy and will choose you every time. I prefer calm spaces, no little kids, and people who respect my boundaries over food and toys. I lost my home when my owner lost her apartment — kinda bad luck since trust is hard for me. I’d be an amazing companion for someone retired or living a peaceful life who wants a loyal, deeply bonded best friend. Patient hearts only please — but, I’m worth it.  Age: 5 years Weight:  18 lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, patient adults, no small kids  Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, has basic training Vetting: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative __ To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application ( www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption ) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.
