Arlo was purchased about 2 years ago from a local pet store. His birthday is October 25, 2022. We are looking for a new home for him. A home that is warm, welcoming to dogs, and one that has enough time to spend with him. He is full of energy and is able to get along with other dogs and young kids. To describe Arlo, one would say he is kind, energetic, enthusiastic, a cuddler, and one who loves kisses.

Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.  Humphrey is no longer available for adoption, because of his declining health, SCMR feels it is in his best interest to keep him in his loving foster home for the time he has left.  A home that is familiar and where he enjoys his foster siblings.       If anyone would like to help sponsor his medical bills (treating his poly-arthritis), please feel free to send a donation, and be sure to let us know the donation is for him.  We will place your name on his website as a sponsor angel, if you would like.     Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Annabelle is a 2.5 year old female Lhasa Apso that is NOT a lap dog!! Please do not reach out about her for your 70 year old grandmother who needs a companion. She is not that girl. Picking her up is an absolute NO!!! Picture her as a 150 Great Dane whom you wouldn't pick up. If she were a cat, her behavior would be acceptable. (Needless to say, when she poops herself, it can be a real adventure which is why she is currently on a chicken & brown rice diet only drizzled with homemade yogurt!!) Yes, she is adorable. >>> B U T

Story
This is a bonded pair and it’s imperative that they remain together when rehomed. Jake is a Shih Tzu Maltese mix, and Joe is a Pekingese Shih Tzu mix. They are 13and 12.5 years old respectively. These boys have been together since they were 6 months old. Both are infectiously sweet. Both boys are super friendly and will require a quiet home environment, they have been raised without children or other pets. They are cuddlers, not "barkers", but will let you know someone is at the door. They require grooming at least every 10 weeks. Both boys are "potty" trained and are accustomed to going out to potty at least 4 times per day. They love car rides and brief walks. Jake has been diagnosed (in 2021) with diabetes and is on Insulin twice a day and tolerating well. The boys are up to date on vaccines. Unfortunately my personal circumstances have changed and now I’m forced to work a second job which is why I need to rehome them. Thank you for taking a peek at their profile.

Story
Kodi is a three year old shih tzu who is very affectionate and playful. He's very quiet and could be a little anxious at times in busy environment. Loves to play catch and go for walks. He's trained to go on a puppy pads but does have accidents because he doesn't like to go more than three times on a pad. He would do best in a quieter home or ones that's not busy all the time as he loves naps and prefers snuggles over extended periods of play time. He has not shown aggression but will seek safety in his kennel if he feels threatened. He does well with other dogs and children.
