Story
Hi, I’m Teddy, an affectionate, adorable, playful Bichon-Pomeranian blend! At four years old and 11 pounds of love, I am ready to bring joy and adventure to my fur-ever family.
General Behavior: Teddy is a social butterfly who loves to play with his people and his toys. He is a true extrovert – outgoing and friendly, always up for an adventure, but snuggles on the couch are just as welcome.
Likes & Dislikes: This boy just loves his toys - the more, the better! He also enjoys daily zoomies, the wonder of the world outside, and cuddles. He’s food-motivated, which helps with training. Teddy is not a fan of car rides and gets very excited, so he must be properly restrained for his and his driver’s safety. He is very people-oriented, and prefers not to be alone for long periods of time.
Training: Teddy is responding well to training and knows basic commands, but he will need more practice walking on a leash. He will also need continued reinforcement and routine when it comes to house training. At night, he sleeps in his safe space, and when left alone, he hangs out in his quiet area with his favorite toys. He’s eager to learn and will do best with a family who will continue to train him and reinforce his successes with love and treats.
Medical: Teddy is a healthy boy and will just require monthly heartworm and flea prevention, like any other pup.
Other Animals: Teddy has experience with small dogs and enjoys playing with dogs his own size. He has not yet been tested with cats.
Children: This little guy has not spent time with children in his foster home. He would do best with older, dog-savvy children.
Home: Teddy would do well in an apartment, condo, or house, as long as he gets plenty of daily exercise and playtime, though a home with a secure outdoor space is preferred as he enjoys basking in the sun and chasing lizards. He will do best with someone who is home more often than not since he enjoys companionship. Whether it's human snuggles or playtime with other dogs, this smart boy enjoys staying connected.
Grooming: Sweet Teddy will need regular grooming to look and feel his best.
Overall: If you are looking for a fun-loving boy who loves to play, Teddy may be the one for you!
