Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Charlie, a 17-pound Bichon Frise with a heart full of love and an incredible story of resilience. Born around July 8, 2021, Charlie was tragically thrown over the fence onto our property late one freezing night, matted and terrified. Thankfully, a staff member of ours spotted him and ensured his safety.  Despite his rough start, Charlie has blossomed into an affectionate and gentle companion. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and people, making him a fantastic fit for almost any home. Charlie’s sweet nature and resilience are sure to win your heart. Charlie’s adoption fee is $400, which includes his neuter, heartworm-negative test, up-to-date vaccines, and prevention (ProHeart and Bravecto). He’s currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. Charlie is ready to be cherished as part of a loving family. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet and snuggly boy, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Charlie can’t wait to meet his forever family!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 23, 2025, 7:11 pm

Story
Meet Johnny, a SUPER cute and fluffy male maltese/yorkie mix puppy! Johnnu and his sister, Frances, were born to mama Baby on 12/6/2024 (mom is about 7 lbs). They are both expected to stay tiny like their mama!  Johnny is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone (dogs, cats, people, and kids)! Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper socialization and training, will grow into wonderful dogs! Johnny is medically up to date (age appropriate) and will be available at our adoption event on 2/23 at Petco in Dayville, CT! Applications are being accepted now and we will review applications based on best fit for these puppies as the event gets closer. Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2288710##
