We are raising funds for all of her diagnostic procedures--Xrays, Ultrasounds, CBC, Urinalysis--for her extensive dental work, and extraction and suturing of six very bad removed teeth, and for her bladder stone removal surgery, JENNY is a Maltipoo, a Maltese/Poodle cross. Jenny is 7 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is a cream and white color, and she is also hypoallergenic! JENNY is very intelligent and inquisitive. She is housetrained, sweet, gentle, playful, loving, affectionate, a lot of fun to be with, and not destructive. Dogs like JENNY also require regular ongoing grooming maintenance to prevent dangerous matts and tangles in the fur which can cause serious skin damage. Dogs in shelters have limited socialization exposure to people and urban environments. DoVE dogs also come from a traumatic background such as dog meat farms and slaughterhouses. While many of our dogs acclimate within a few months with consistency, structure, and patience, some of our more sensitive dogs can take longer to rehabilitate. It's important to note that these sensitive dogs are even more attuned to human emotions and behavior, making for a deeper connection human-dog connection. This beautiful girl is Cici. Isn't she stunning? Cici is a 4 yr old, female, Poodle/Maltese mix that is about 16lbs of pure sweetness! Cici came to us when she was found dumped and abandoned on the streets in bad condition...flea infested, emaciated, and a broken leg. We got her the medical attention she needed including a surgery to repair her leg and now she is one happy, healthy, and grateful little pup! Cici is a dog that must definitely have another sweet and playful dog in the home. If you don't have another dog, she has a best friend, Tali, a 2 yr old, female, Maltese/Terrier mix that she can be adopted with. Once she feels comfy and safe, she will open up and just play, play, play! A home with a safe/secure backyard would be ideal along with owners that are not gone long hours during the day. Cici is excellent in the car and seems to be potty trained with outdoor access. She still needs a little polishing with walking on leash, but she is very smart and a very quick learner. Sweet Shelby was purchased as an 8 week old puppy in Tijuana by a guy who bought her for his girlfriend, but not more than a month later they no longer wanted her and were going to dump her. Thankfully, a young woman who was a friend of these people, intervened and reached out to us to see if we could take her into our foundation....and we said yes! Shelby is very high energy and ALL puppy! We are looking for puppy savvy owners that are VERY active and have another young and playful dog in the home. She CANNOT be an "only" dog. If you do not have another dog, we do have a couple of dogs to choose from that she can be adopted with that are her best friends and that she does very well with. Shelby is a dog that needs a home with a safe/secure backyard to run around in. She is too high energy to be an apartment dog. We are looking for owners that are home most of the day/work from home and will be there to supervise her. She is still very young and picks up and chews everything she sees. Shelby is a spirited, fun, happy, playful, and energetic dog that needs owners that are loving, patient, and nurturing. This little girl was tossed out with owners that did not ever care, so we are looking for the best forever home for her! Shelby is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be spayed when ready.
