Story
Fostered in LA Hello New Friends, My name is Zippy and I’m an adorable, affectionate and oh-so-handsome Bichon boy of five and about 17 pounds of soft, pearly white hair who loves to cuddle, play and be right by your side. I’m a sweet, trusting little guy who is very responsive and eager to please. I love people and enjoy being talked to—honestly, my foster Mom says she thinks I'm very smart -- and that I understand just about everything she (or you) says to me! I’m what you might call the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. I love to chase my toys and carry them around (don’t worry—I’m very gentle!) and I’m also happy to entertain myself with a tasty treat or a good chew. I might get a little mouthy when I’m playing, but just remind me to be “gentle” and I’ll give you kisses instead. (See, I told you I’m smart!) And when playtime is over I’m more than ready to curl up next to you for a cozy nap. Mom says I’m a wonderful companion. I’m housebroken (a total champ, if I do say so myself!), I know how to sit, and I’ll come running when you whistle -- or call my name. I’m very obedient, clever and super food motivated—which means I’m ready and willing to learn anything you’d like to teach me. I ride nicely in the car, too, though sometimes all the outside sights and sounds can make me a bit nervous. Now, I want to be honest with you—because the best relationships are built on trust! When I’m on a leash in the big, busy world, I get overwhelmed and overstimulated by all the activity around me. It’s really scary out there for me! Because of that, I would prefer to be in a home with a nice yard where I can play safely and comfortably. And, with time and patience, my BFK Aunties know that I can overcome my reactions but in the meantime a yard to run and sun in would be my drream. And the good news: when I’m off leash in any home environment, I’m a gentle, curious little houseguest who does great with people and can get along with other pups, too. I really want to play with any dog friends that might be around, but I also really want to hang with my humans, too. Mom says I’m especially special because of my beautiful coat—it practically glows in the sunlight and is as soft as can be. I love it when I get brushed -- it feels so nice! But what really makes me shine is my loving heart. I’m the kind of pup who just wants to be close to my people, soaking up affection and giving it right back. My Ideal Home: An adults-only home A house with a yard for playtime Someone patient and experienced who understands how to work on my leash training A family or couple who wants a loving, cuddly companion Another friendly, playful pup would be welcome, but not required Experience level: Experienced dog owner (especially with leash reactive pups) I’m as sweet as I am snuggly… as playful as I am loving… and just waiting for the right person to help me feel safe and confident in this big world. All I really want is a forever family who will guide me, love me, and let me be your loyal little companion. If that sounds like you, please complete our adoption application. I'll look forward to meeting you so please ask for me by my name! Tail wags and cuddles, Zippy 💙

Story
Jax is 11 years old and 2 months. I unfortunately am allergic to Jax and am sad to have to re-home him, however it is necessary. I have tried to live with this but it is impossible. I am just to sensitive and allergic. He is has a microchip. He is potty trained. He likes Wellness dog can food I have given him grain free dog food. I also cook him extra people food like scramble eggs, and beef and lamb. He is allergic to chicken and poultry. Jax is very sweet and will make a wonderful pet. Also very loyal. Loves to snuggle up to you and is welcoming of people when they come over. He loves to walk. Jax is friendly, mellow, and affectionate, reported to enjoy cuddling and burrow in blankets. I adopted Jax from another family. Who already had another dog. I am looking for a loving home who will give a lot of care and attention. Great for an older person who would like company or a family as well. Great with kids. Please consider adopting for possible an older parent or older child.
