Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet QQ❤️ QQ was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where she lived in a cramped cage with accumulated waste and fur beneath, making standing painful and emitting strong ammonia fumes. She is now adapting to everyday life and is expected to become healthier and happier soon! * Interaction with People: Loves people a lot but initially fears strangers, especially men. Takes time to warm up, but once getting comfortable, she follows around, wags her tail, and likes to be by your side. She gives lots of kisses as a way of saying I love you! * Interaction with Dogs: Shows little interest in other dogs and enjoys spending time alone. Feels uncomfortable with overly aggressive doggy friends! Tends to display her emotion by look to familiar dogs. * Interaction with Cats: Is indifferent to cats and passes by them without much interest. * Separation Anxiety: Has Minimal separation anxiety. Scratches the door when the dog he lives with goes out, but she sleeps and does well alone when the family is out. * Potty Training: Prefers to use indoor potty and is proficient with using pads. Occasionally confuses blankets with her potty spot but is getting training. Does well with outdoor potty during walks. * Hygiene: Cooperates well during baths. Nail trimming can be frightening and cause some fuss, but she stays calm. Is also good with brushing and drying. Feels uncomfortable with scissors on her face. * Walking: Enjoys slow walks, but tends to pull the leash in the direction she wants to go. * Car Sickness: Travels well in the car without any signs of motion sickness. * Is very gentle with no biting, even when touched or petted by strangers. * May bark softly when guests come into the house. * Is afraid of sudden sounds or movements and isn't used to being picked up or put on your lap. * Has allergies and is on an allergy diet. ** Health Status ** - Scaling done, two teeth extracted - Due to periodontitis, her gums have receded, causing instability in her teeth. This prevents her from eating hard food, and she needs to be fed with soft kibble and snacks. - Has an eye injury but no vision impairment. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @co7mo3

Story
Currently in a Seattle foster home Kkukkku is an approximately 7-year-old male mixed breed of Bichon Frisé and Poodle. He once lived a happy life in a loving home but, unfortunately, experienced the heartbreak of being abandoned. Despite this, he still holds deep trust and affection for people and gets along well with other dogs. He is a bright and gentle pup with a warm personality. Having spent a long time in a home, Kkukkku is expected to adapt relatively quickly to a new environment. Currently, he is accustomed to using pee pads indoors in Korea, but he is intelligent and can quickly learn to do his business outside. Kkukkku is affectionate and enjoys bonding with people, finding great happiness in spending time with them. His lovable charm is special enough to capture anyone’s heart instantly. At present, Kkukkku is staying at a training center, living with other dogs, and displaying excellent social skills. Because he loves people so much, he may bark briefly to get attention when someone approaches. Since he struggles with being alone, he would thrive best in a home where someone is always present, ensuring he feels secure and happy. Kkukkku has a friendly personality and approaches strangers without hesitation—he knows how to be loved. He may bark when confined in a kennel or a small space, but this is understandable behavior and not a major issue overall. As a sweet and loving companion, Kkukkku is ready to create happy moments with his new family. He is eagerly waiting for a family who can share genuine love and care with him.

Story
Tina is a little powerhouse; she lasts hours at the dog park and loves dogs of all sizes. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom, and although she's not fully comfortable in cuddling or snuggling yet, she's getting there and she has no issue being handled day to day. Tina walks well on a leash and she's potty trained (although doesn’t do it in backyard at the moment). Tina is very well-behaved at home, quiet and calm - a totally different dog to the dog she is at the park. Tina's ideal family would be one that already have dogs and have the time to take her out to dog park often. Tina is located in Vancouver. Story
Hello, my name is Dennie (Benny) and I'm so happy you have clicked on my bio!  I was born in February 2022 and lived with a human who ended up abusing me.  At 7 months old I was found by neighbours, paralyzed and with 2 broken bones.  Luckily they took me away from that bad situation and brought me to a local shelter where I was seen by a vet.  Because of my condition the vet almost euthanized me-- that's when a sweet lady saw the love and hope in my big brown eyes and fought for my life!  After a full 3 month recovery, I now live with plates in my leg.  Still agile and active I am absolutely able to trot around and play with the other dogs at the shelter!   https://youtube.com/shorts/Kr2IwLcW_xU?si=_SnfdVeuQLtTjo2S You'll find I am a serene and sweet pupper. I am fluffy, soft, and adore cuddles on a loving lap.  I get along well with the other shelter dogs and am not aggressive.  Some big dogs frighten me, so I would love your help keeping me safe and protected.  Typically the only times I bark are when I feel threatened by bigger dogs.   I am quite happy now: https://youtu.be/6-BV7gcj_cY and just know the right new owner will adopt me soon. My ideal match would be someone who is patient, calm and, kind-- just like me! Someone who talks kind to me, lets me cuddle in their lap, protects me from bigger dogs, understands my sense of adventure and my love for toys! I’m only 2 after all, so I am still into toys and I am pretty curious, since exploring is how I learn best!I am eager to follow commands and learn new things. I just wish I had my house training under control. I am hoping I can get it right, but right now the vet is not certain if the damage to my spine is permanent or temporary and only time will tell. So I still have some #2 accidents. Being in a shelter makes it hard for the staff to know how much I have improved, so my adopter should be prepared for diapers, just in case. With luck though, some acupunture or laser treatment will help too. I was in a crate for a very long time and now I just want a loving lap and a fresh start with someone I can be my loving self with. I hope you are my match! I'm in love with attention from kids too and showering my affections on them, as well: https://youtu.be/S0XuZYp3eTQ,  https://youtu.be/m4g4KYjxUS0.  Here I am seeing kitties. No biggie.https://youtube.com/shorts/CEoFSv7_jYg. Likely can live with a cat fine. Energy Level: moderate to moderate lowI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: quite likely fineKids: yes Fears: just big dogs right now. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: noneLeash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: No. Please help me learn! Health notes:I have some plates in my leg. I still have poo accidents.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee will be by donation, plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##1956227##

Story
Teeheehee. Hi, my name is Geena (Tina) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Maltese mixAge: 8 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 4 kgHeight: 20 cmHighlight(s): kind-hearted, calm, mostly blind, cuddly Ok, I have a super sniffer. I have to in order to get around well. Just a middle aged pupper looking for her second half home.Found  by my rescuer in a park in the Middle East without an owner, she tried to find my family, but nobody came forward. Likely dumped there, as often happens in my country when people tire of having a dog. I know, so sad. They may have abandoned me, because I am no longer a spry, playful puppy. This is due to the fact one of my eyes is pretty well blind and the other has poor vision. I have cataracts. No worries, I still get around just fine. Please no interior decorators rearranging furniture all the time. LOL. I currently live with a foster, but she can't hold me long, as the Landlord doesn't want any dogs there. Again, typical my country. Double sad.I'm a kind-hearted dog, who just wants to light up your life with happiness. You know dynamite in a small package. Only the explosion you'll get is pure love. I'll stay close, keeping you warm. I generally do my business on pee pads, though occasionally make a mistake. I'm sure once we get a routine of going putside, it will be much better. In my country it is also illegal to walk dogs outside. TRIPLE sad, right?I'd prefer a home where my person is home most of the time, as I do fine for about 2 hours, then start to bark. Hey, I don't know where you are after a while. I enjoy sleeping next to you and snuggling though. Energy Level: lowI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: unknown Fears: if any known, explain or unknown/none observed. Story
Greetings. I'm CASHEW (Charlie.) Here us a bit about me:Breed: Maltese WestieAge: 7 yrsGender: MaleWeight: 13 poundsHeight: 11 inchesHighlight(s): Curly soft fur, snuggly, sweet, comical, initially cautious Me and my bro Kola are an adorable pair of twin-bonded brothers who will capture your heart with our snuggly, sweet nature and a love for chasing our favourite stuffy carrot and donut. We were born to a litter of four in Los Angeles and were saved from a kill shelter, thanks to an intervention of an organization that brought us to Vancouver. In our new home, we healed from neglect, learning to trust and navigate the world with the guidance of our adoptive family. We have flourished and share a remarkable bond. Unfortunately, our adoptive family’s circumstances have unfortunately drastically changed. Most recently, Kola has been diagnosed with primary glaucoma, requiring medication three times a day. Our current adoptive family wants to ensure us boys go to a loving, nurturing home that is seeking two loving, sweet dogs.I have a loving spirit with a comical streak. I bring laughter daily with my playful nature. Though initially I am cautious of people, I adjust within a couple of minutes. I am excellent with children and people, though I will initially bark for 20 seconds and then stop, especially when I'm being ignored. Hey, I want attention, just letting you know. Our unique connection extends to our bathroom habits, seeing both of us go at the same time, simplifying your routine. We also share the peculiar habit of barking at garbage cans in motion and loyally alerting you to approaching visitors at the door.We tend to prefer not having other dogs in the home. We tend to bark and get territorial, but eventually settle down. Dog parks are sort of hit and miss with who we engage with.I have no anxiety or resource guarding issues. I just want to be a lap dog.We are trained in some commands and will even delight you with our "dance" when asked. I walk well on leash too.We need to be adopted together, thus ensuring our emotional state, as well as your amusement. We are the perfect companions for a laid-back lifestyle. Energy Level: moderate to lowI get along with:Dogs: noCats: unknownKids: yes Fears: none observed.
