He thrives on companionship and deeply enjoys being close to his humans. Reggie does experience separation anxiety, which means he should not be left alone for extended periods. To feel more secure, he would greatly benefit from living with other dogs. Reggie’s ideal home would be one where someone is frequently around, making it perfect for someone who works from home or is retired. Regular exercise is essential for him, as it can help manage his anxiety and keep him healthy. Additionally, interactive playtime and obedience training would not only provide mental stimulation but also strengthen his bond with you. He loves to be engaged and will be happiest when given a "job" to do, which keeps him active and fulfilled.  He "patti-cakes" with his paws for attention and lets you know when he needs to be where you are! With consistent patience and training, Reggie can achieve a more comfortable state when left alone. Overall, he is a loving and loyal companion, well-suited for a caring environment that provides companionship, structure, and gentle guidance. Teddy was born on 11/30/23. I got him about six months ago. My friend had passed away and I then received him. He is considered a Lavender Shih Tuz. He is also imperial. That means he will stay small. He weights 11 pounds. He is a wonderful dog. Very handsome and friendly. He follows me every where I go. The problem is I have two senior dogs and he gets to rough with them. He is leash trained. He uses a doggy door. He should be adopted as an only dog or with larger dogs. It would be nice if you stayed home with him. A senior citizen would be nice to have him. Please ask any questions you have.
