Story
Meet Hey, a one-year-old spayed female Poodle-Bichon mix with a soft cream coat and a heart ready to bloom.
Weighing in at just 5kg, Hey was rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje and has come a long way since. Once fearful of people and unsure of human touch, she’s now blossoming with those who take the time to earn his trust. These days, she’ll happily take treats from your hand and even trot over to say hello once she feels comfortable. While she might run off when you try to pick her up, she doesn’t resist once he’s in your arms—she settles in calmly, making her a gentle cuddle buddy. She’s also wonderfully behaved for grooming and bath time.
Hey is a total social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. She loves meeting new canine friends, no matter their size, and will often approach them with friendly tail wags and an invitation to play. Having another dog in the home would be a huge help in her adjustment to family life, especially since she’s never known life without doggy companionship. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but based on her easy-going nature, she may very well be able to live peacefully with feline friends too.
With a moderate energy level, Hey enjoys the outdoors but knows how to relax and recharge afterwards. She’s currently learning how to walk on a leash—right now, she tends to freeze up when it’s clipped on, so she’ll need some patient guidance. She’s not possessive with food, whether it’s around people or other dogs, and is used to both indoor pee pad training and outdoor potty time. Because she’s never lived without other dogs around, she may experience some separation anxiety, and she does tend to bark a little when meeting unfamiliar people out of fear. But with love, time, and gentle encouragement, Hey has all the potential to grow into a confident and affectionate companion. All she needs is a patient family ready to cheer her on through this next chapter of her life.
