Story
We got Bo as a puppy from a breeder in south central Pennsylvania. He will be turning 10 in December. We are looking for an individual or couple with no other pets or young children and experienced with large dogs that have some behavioral issues. Unfortunately, we have a 4 year old son and and another coming in a few weeks and are no longer able to provide the care an attention needed for an aging dog. When not stressed out, he is really a sweet boy who just wants lots of attention and pets from his owner. However, he is a fairly anxious dog and can be aggressive toward other dogs and is generally scared of small children. He enjoys his walks and occasional playtime with toys, but generally he is a quiet and lazy dog. Please reach out if you have any questions or are interested in learning more about Bo. Bo is up to date on all vaccinations and flea/tick medication.

Nash is a loving companion and enjoys lots of walks, attention, and pets. He is 8 years old. He is a beloved member of the family but has become aggressive towards my toddler, rendering it necessary to rehome him. I would not recommend adopting him if you have children.

Story
AdoptAPet Inquires are not an application and will be ignored. Basil is a 3 year old, 65 lb Bernese Mountain Dog. Basil sadly spent her life living outside, being bred for profit. Because of that, she didn’t have a lot of human interaction or the chance to experience many “normal” things, certain things like the sound of busy roads are still new and can sometimes be overwhelming for her. She isn’t the kind of dog who will thrive with frequent outings to dog parks, stores, or crowded events. If you are looking for a dog to take everywhere, Basil is not a match. She gets braver each day. She now loves going on walks and does great with a confident dog buddy by her side. Basil is a goofy, loving girl. She absolutely adores her humans. She follows them from room to room to ensure she's not passing up a chance to get pets or snacks. If you dare to stop petting her, expect a paw or a head nudge asking for more. Her favorite place is right by your side, preferably on the couch with her head on your lap. In her foster home, she happily greets visitors with tail wags and immediately requests pets. In new environments, however, she can be reserved and unsure. She’s making up for lost time and soaking up every bit of joy and love she can find. She is an absolute delight to be around and will make a great companion. Basil is crate trained and dog friendly. She will need regular brushing and grooming. Basil is an amazing dog who needs a patient adopter willing to provide comfort, consistency, and security as she adjusts to her new life. Adoption radius 60 miles from zip code 20906. Story
Fiona is a beautiful 5 year old spayed Bernese Mountain Dog and Great Pyrenees mix weighing approximately 90 pounds. She has a soft coat, a gentle spirit, and a deeply loving personality. Fiona absolutely adores people and has never met a human she did not love. She is especially sweet and gentle, and would do best in a home with children over age 8 simply due to her large size. Fiona loves to cuddle and stay close to her people, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal shadow. In the home, Fiona is calm, well behaved, and easy to live with. She is fully housebroken, has free roam of the house, and does not chew or destroy items. She walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and knows basic commands including sit and stand. Her overall energy level is medium. Fiona does need to be the only dog in the home, as she does not do well with other dogs. She has mild separation anxiety and currently takes a once daily medication to help her feel more comfortable. She is also fearful of thunderstorms and fireworks. Fiona prefers not to be crated or penned, as confinement increases her anxiety. Health wise, Fiona is in great shape and only needs a routine professional dental cleaning. Fiona has experienced several home transitions through no fault of her own, and we are committed to finding her a stable, loving forever home where she can truly thrive. Fiona’s ideal home • Only pet household • Calm, quiet environment • Someone home most of the time • Children over age 8
