Story
This beautiful soul has been on an incredible journey, enduring a challenging stay at the shelter, waiting and hoping for a loving forever home. Despite his stunning looks and heartwarming personality, Apollo remained overlooked for months. He's a dog who's seen the worst of it yet still holds onto hope and love. Finally liberated from the confines of the shelter, Apollo's enthusiasm for life knows no bounds. His heart is filled with joy, and he's ready to share that boundless affection with a family who sees the gem he truly is. Apollo's a big boy with an even bigger heart. He adores the company of other dogs and revels in playtime. However, he thrives on structure, guidance, and plenty of activity. Smart as a whip, Apollo's intelligence and quick learning skills will astound you. This sweet boy, at around 3 years old and weighing between 60-65lbs, deserves a home that matches his spirit—a place with experienced, loving humans who understand the needs of a larger dog like him. Living in Houston, Apollo has bravely battled heartworm, a common challenge in these parts. But fear not, Scout’s Honor is ensuring Apollo receives the best care. Whether you choose to adopt him now or after he's cleared, we'll continue covering his medical expenses, ensuring he gets the care he needs. He's a fighter and with your support, he'll come out stronger than ever. If your heart swells at the thought of giving Apollo the home he dreams of, please consider fostering or adopting him. Start the journey by filling out an application at www.scoutshonor.org. Your love and compassion could be the key to unlocking Apollo's happily ever after. Story
If you would like more information about Rosie or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to katy.luciana@gmail.com or contact this number, 713-502-0516 Hello! My name is Rosie. I am a beautiful, chill, almost 7 year old Great Pyrenees. I need a home because my human passed away suddenly last month. I miss my human and would love another person or family to bond with. Here are some notes about me from my human’s family: Rosie gets along well with people and with most dogs; she will sometimes display dominance behavior with other female dogs, but she is never aggressive. She will bark when other dogs are barking; otherwise, she is not an annoying barker. She is housetrained but not crate-trained. She doesn't chew up things in the house. She has never been around cats, so we don't know how she would be with cats. We have all of Rosie’s vet records since she was a puppy, and all her vaccinations are current. Rosie is currently in a temporary living situation with a family in Kingwood, TX, but no one in our family is able to provide a permanent home or longer-term foster as we already have all the pets we can care for. We can take her within a 6 hr radius of either Houston or Austin easily and are happy to pay transport costs for a good home farther away as well. Story
Hello there, I’m Pringles! If you are looking for a cuddler, that’s me! My favorite form of affection is belly rubs, and I will gladly roll on my back to get as many as I can. My fur is super soft, like a bunny rabbit, so I do expect you will be petting or holding me a lot, which I will absolutely love. I am a laid back, easy puppy and generally quiet, unless I’m playing with my littermate Brookie. We make a lot of puppy grunts and little barks when we play. If I’m not playing with Brookie, I can be very entertained by newspapers or amazon boxes. Who needs toys when you have paper and boxes! As a puppy, I sleep a lot, which works out great when my foster parents are working from home. I don’t disturb them one bit. I’m not potty trained yet, however, I can say with pride that I have never pooped in my crate or peed on my soft bed. Instead, if I have to pee at night, I use the pee pads beside my bed that are in my crate. And, I wait until I’m let out in the morning to poop. I am a great sleeper and can go all night without a peep. Pringles is a Male Great Pyrenees/Shepherd Mix that we estimate to be born around 12/11/2024. As of 2/1, he weighed 7.6 lbs.
