Story
This BernieDoodle was born 11/2023. He was recently neutered and is up to date on shots. Very loving and playful. He has never bitten anyone. His only behavior issue is he is very energetic and will chase animals, during which time no invisible fence or shock collar will stop him. This is why we cannot keep him as we cannot fence in our yard. He needs a physically fenced in area or large acreage away from a road where he can run. And he does run! He typically does fine with other dogs. Free to a good home but you must have the time to train and spend with him. You must be ready to be the owner of a large, active and playful dog that needs attention and have a safe environment for him in which to run and play. Please do not apply if you plan to crate him several hours during the day. He currently is crated at night to sleep and he does fine with that. He will not be happy being crated for hours during the daytime. He has too much energy for that!

Story
Very loving, playful, dog. Good with kids, other dogs, and pets. Has lots of energy for people with active lifestyles. The only two negatives about this dog is he is very excitable/hyper which makes him difficult to handle at times. He also will occasionally mark his territory still. He was raised alongside his sister calypso (golden doodle) who I’d like to keep together if possible. Exceptions can be considered. We are finding a new home because we live on a busy street which has proved dangerous for the dogs and my wife struggles with allergies related to shedding. We also have limited time train them with our two kids.

Story
Janey is absolutely stunning and is going to be a wonderful, steadfast companion for an adopter willing to put in the time, patience and understanding. Janey has settled into her foster home beautifully and is steadily showing us how beautiful her heart is. Janey does take some time to trust new people, but once she does, her carefree, entirely relaxed personality shines through. She enjoys being outside and chewing on nylabones. Janey is entirely crate trained and potty trained - she arrived understanding both. She is inconsistent with listening to commands (depending on what is going on around her) but she does know what is expected of her, understands the routine and knows her name. Janey loves affection and being with her person once she has built a relationship with them. She is also completely content to lay alongside of another dog. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and looks to them for confidence - walking nicely on a leash with another dog (but not nearly as confident when walking alone). She shares toys nicely and can eat alongside other dogs.  She has been an exemplary house guest indoors. Janey’s foster is willing to provide advice after adoption (if needed) to her adopter. In order for Janey to thrive in an adoptive home, we are looking for the following: Older, respectful children Fenced in yard preferred  Patient and understanding adopter Another dog in the home is a must  - should be a good example - friendly, confident (Janey tends to prefer other females but gets along well with all dogs) Quiet neighborhood (not made for city living) Janey is part of our "Meet Me" program. This program allows potentially interested adopters to talk to the foster directly and/or meet the dog before deciding to adopt or put in an application. Just send an email to meet_me@mostlymuttz.org and her foster will be in touch!  Janey is heartworm positive and has begun treatment. Please dont let this scare you away - Heartworm is curable and is not contagious. For additional information regarding heartworm or the treatment, please email the rescue at mostlymuttz@gmail.com www.mostlymuttz.org   #beautifulsoul #shybutworthit #mostlymuttzrescue #learningtolovelife ##2253511##
